Metic: The Final-ish Report

Day 804, 10:51 Published in Japan Japan by Metic

First off, I must say that in my alternate life, as all of you have noticed and have known, things have gotten to a point where it causes myself to the point where I almost forget to fight and train. Forget about my personal companies, my alternative life has been a real pain lately and I would like to offer my apologies for it, to Japan, to the Defense Ministry, and finally to DPJ. There was a lot that I wanted to redo this term but It has gotten to a point where I can no longer do anything anymore. If it were earlier, I would have resigned from my position but as it is, there is no point in pushing someone into the job that is most likely to switch around in three days.

I will not say that I'm leaving for certain ... but I certainly will be gone for the next two to four weeks and I doubt in any position to seriously play the game after that. All in all, consider this my farewell to you all.

Now, I must say that I have lived through many different worlds, many different games, and this is a pretty great universe. No matter what they say, Japan is a great place, full of great people. No matter who wins in three days, I'm confident Japan will be in great hands. I only apologize that I could not have contributed to this in the past two weeks as I have for the past four or five months. To all the candidates, Crawling Chaos, Geno Garon, Kita Ikki, Good Luck. All of you would do fine in the job.

It's a tricky road ahead ... and if the issue of growing divisiveness in Japan is not addressed soon, you can be sure that Japan will just fall apart and no, it will not be for the good of anyone. No-one, absolutely no-one has even shown any inclination that they could solve it and well, what can I say? Both sides contribute to it and really there is no great third option. Japan can continue down its current path: it just will be never as great as it could be.

Before I leave, a final few items for the incoming Minister of Defense:
The Current Roster
http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=d72g3hg_4gcqds3hk
*I'd also invite the new MoD to look through the current Navy Spreadsheet, currently updated by Tanaka Fujimori and something that I had hoped to get through to all sections: Navy Spreadsheet

The Structure of it All

... Is for sure going to change. But currently, the Army is set as the home guard, one that includes all Congress Members and/or Party Presidents. The Navy and the Airforce are our mobile forces. There are many reasons for it, amongst them, ease of communication. But also, section chiefs and leaders can much easily prepare their own group if all of them are mobile members or vice versa.

The Navy is mainly a group of the lower strength and lower ranked soldiers, one who would be mostly cost-ineffective to deploy at all times, whereas the Airforce is comprised of our Generals and Field Marshals who would be more cost-effective to deploy for the smaller conflicts.

Not much else to say, except good luck, have fun.

PS: Good luck, especially to Roland_up, the unsuspecting new PP of DPJ. 🙂
