Memories - 2nd Day of Croatia in the New World

Day 396, 16:22 Published in Croatia Croatia by caramel

Today I arrived in Central Croatia, where almost half of the country's population has settled so far.

In the city hall I have talked to some people that were new to eRepublik and who told me that being granted citizenship in Croatia was the best thing ever. Local authorities even gave them 50 Kuna (HRK) as citizen fee.

I was curious how much does that mean in Gold so I went to the monetary market. A representative of Hrvatska Organization was glad to exchange some words, even if the primary purpose was to exchange HRK for Gold. He told me that the citizen fee of 50 HRK values 5 Gold if you would buy from the organization, and that around 500 HRK were already sold. Asking who owns it, I found out that the control of this organization will be given to the first President of Croatia to help the country's development. I can hardly wait to see who wins the coming general elections.

Leaving the monetary market, I came across with a few businessmen. Apparently they were heading to the marketplace to analyze it as they wanted to start a company. I followed them and noticed that only food companies were present. Guess that is normal for we are just in the second day of Croatia in the New World. So, there are plenty of domains in which to start a company and not have competitors yet in this country.

Some high quality food appealed to me, but I had to move on, having no HRK in the accounts. That reminded me to check the other way of acquiring local currency, except from monetary market. The human resources office was opened and I took a look at the offers posted. I was glad to see that companies were willing to hire new citizens of the New World that have no work experience. I also noticed that higher salaries were ready to be given to more skilled employees.

One citizen that was also checking the hiring offers told me that his dream was to be a general manager one day. I reminded him to also check the companies for sale. He approved and then confessed something that made me realize he will be very different from the other general managers: “Hard working and building the society of the New World will help me fulfill my dream. I want to develop a Q5 Company in the Moving Tickets Domain. I know things do not look bright for a general manager of such a company now, but times will change. And I want to be a part of that change.”

With such visionary citizens, I am sure Croatia will be of high importance in the New World.
