“Meet the UKRP” is a series of articles I’m going to be writing this term, interviewing both old and new Reform members, finding out why they love the party and why YOU should join!

This is number 5 in the series, please read and vote them all!

Today I have 3 interviews to publish, first of all an oldfag, here is Professor Evil!



1: Why did you join the UK Reform Party?

I was initially attracted by the prestige and positive tradition of the party. The UKRP was (and, of course, is) in my view the party with the most interesting history, and has always been very prominent. It's had great eUKers that I had been privileged to meet the first time I was a citizen - Dish, Shadow, Rayf Drayson, and many more. The party has always stood for positive democratic ideas, and it has had an incredibly positive influence on eUK politics. This influence it continues to have.



2: What made you stay?

Because not only is this a party that's committed, principled and does a lot of good, but it's also a fantastic community. I have no hesitation in saying that I've found good friends here; we're a fun-loving bunch of people whom I'm proud to recommend to new members. It's easy to say that we don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do and we don't; as well as getting on great, we also work well together on very important work. We have countless brilliant members, and while I mentioned the great UKRPers of times past, we have some real titans in the present that I'm privileged to know.



3: Where do you see the party in the near future?

Higher in the top five, perhaps first or second! We're growing, and our media presence, recruitment campaigns and general successes are making a lot of new players think, "Wow! I might join these guys!" When they're here, they'll find out what a good community we are and stick around.



4: Do you see yourself leading the party in the future?

It's something I've thought about, yes. Since I've joined, I've seen only excellent PPs: thedark, DM, Appleby, yourself. I have absolutely no doubt Mada will be an excellent PP also. If I come to a month when I feel I can match such high standards, and have the experience and party support necessary to do so, then I'll definitely run!



5: Do you have any plans or schemes that the party could implement to make us better or more popular?

I think we can be the party that not only ensures the excellence of our congressmen by our accreditation schemes, but ensures transparency by getting each congressman to write a voting report, like what Robalbinio does.



6: Finally, give new players a reason why they should join the UKRP 😉

This is a party that will nurture your talents, teach you important game essentials, help you make good friends and enrich your eRepublik experience. You'll be given great opportunities, party positions will be available to you and however you want to play the game, you'll find a good home here.
