Join the new world

Hello everyone,

Well first I will introduce myself I am Robalbinio newly appointed Director of Membership and Publicity for the Movement for Democratic Unity or the MDU as we are commonly known. The MDU is the eUKs only centrist political party and as such we incorporate the best of left and right wing politics into a party that is determined to move the eUK in the right direction.

For this article I questioned various members of the MDU to give any younger players reading a feel of what we are about. Members questioned include the party’s founder and current party president CV James, ex two term party president Oexis, Director of Electoral affairs and dedicated member Indiekid and Director of Home Affairs Azra’eil.

1) How did you first hear about the MDU?

CV James: ‘Probably just after I created it 😃’

Indieki😛 ‘I first heard about it through loads of newspaper articles they released’ (I would recommend everyone to subscribe to the VDU to stay up to date with all MDU news)

Oexis: ‘When Tommy (Tommasino) ran for President the day after I joined’

2) Why did you decide to join the MDU?

Azra’eil: ‘Their views on most subjects matched my own, and I believed (and still do believe) they were the future of the eUK’

Oexis: ‘Because it seemed like a party with a future and I didn't think my voice would be heard in a larger party’

3) How would you describe the atmosphere on the MDU forums?

Indieki😛 ‘Brilliant. Really vibrant and lots of discussions, people bouncing ideas off each other and a great community atmosphere’

CV James: ‘Like a family - we're more than just a party, we're a community, we care and support one and all’

4) What is the main thing you would like to change about how the eUK is run?

CV James: ‘Very little to be honest. We have one of the best systems of governance in eRepublik, and it would a travesty to tamper with it too much. In terms of policy - I would like to see a stronger army and more conflict involvement’

Oexis: ‘Not so much a policy change or legislative change, but I want to see the end of the mindset that "time here=experience=more intelligent". Its not fair - if somebody has done a job for a while, yeah, they might be better suited, but when it comes to certain tasks surely the fact that somebody has been here longer doesn't affect it in any way. I like to give new players chances to prove themselves’

Azra’eil: ‘Fewer closed doors, too much goes on in secret, without the majority of the citizens of the eUK even knowing, let alone being allowed a say in it’

5) Where do you see the MDU being in the near future?

Indieki😛 ‘Hopefully gaining more members and maybe a top 3 position’

CV James: ‘Having its own Prime Minister’

6) Where do see yourself being in the future?

Azra’eil: ‘Prime Minister of the eUK!’

CV James: ‘Helping more in government, being a Minister.’

7) Why would you recommend a new player joins the MDU?

Oexis: ‘Because we rock, and because if you want a relatively new party with fresh ideas and the drive to work hard for the eUK, join the MDU!’

CV James: ‘We're a centrist party so we are not tied to either political wing - we are able to incorporate the best bits of both. Everyone's voice is equal - no one person's opinion is valued more than any other. We're very active, fun and friendly!’

Azra’eil: ‘We dare to challenge the old guard, and bring a new lease of life to the eUK’
