MDU JANUARY AWARDS

As promised in my manifesto, my continuation of Tommy’s award scheme for the party. There are so many deserving and talented people in the MDU, it’s a shame I can’t award everybody! I’m really proud to be the Party President of this party. We are a community of truly dedicated people with a mix of experience and raw talent that has allowed us so much success in the past few months. We have had excellent Party Presidents to help lead the Movement, and I can only hope that I will be able to continue their good work.


1. January 2009 Media Award – Tommy Tommasino
Tommy, as well as being a first-rate Party President last month, is a gifted writer. His papers, J’accuse and Tommy Tommasino, the Man, combine opinionated political commentary and excellent satire which provide a great mix of media. His articles are well written, informed and open-minded, as well as having a twist of humour. Tommy’s media is a credit to the party, a skill that he used to his advantage as Party President. His articles brought interest and indeed members to the MDU, as his writing portrayed the party so well and also due to his outspokenness on key issues.


2. January 2009 Contribution to eUK Award – Patrick Reckitt and IndieKid
If the success of Patrick in Yorkshire was not enough, to have the other congressman change to our party really did it. Patrick and IndieKid have transformed Yorkshire and Humberside. They have made the forums extremely active and have established a real community in their region. As well as being a credit to the party, their work in their region, in government and in general to the eUK is an achievement worthy of commendation in our awards. Congratulations, and hopefully they have made Yorkshire an MDU seat for the second month running.


3. January 2009 Contribution to the MDU Award - thehorseltd

Although just a newcomer at the last awards, thehorseltd has truly emerged as a dedicated and hard-working member of the MDU. The first achievement was the unveiling of the truly stunning MDU logo, which is a symbolic and stylish representation of our party. Thehorseltd’s skills would later come into use with the production of many more logos and the congress avatars for January. Also was the idea of the Electoral Director, which has certainly helped me in organising elections to help further the success of the MDU at the polls. His work is greatly appreciated and I expect to see many more things to come in future months.

There are many others that deserve a mention: CV James and Big Boy Bulley are experienced and passionate members of the party and I hope that this will continue. Richard York, for being a great and active congressman and the truly excellent newspaper writing that earned him December’s media award. To Horice P Fossil, for his great allegiance to the party, hardworking spirit and creativity. To Will Salmon, resident military encyclopaedia, for his continued work and loyalty. To newer members like dobis1, Belquer, Bestie101, Connor_Mawn, stefanmunro, The Eco State, Robalbinio, demotic, Azra’eil: we hope that your wise decision to join our party will unlock your true potential on the political scene.
