Market Prices Plummet!

Dear citizens of Germany-Austria,
I remember about a month ago, q1 food costed 1.48DEM.
In a matter of days I have been watching prices drop drastically. Now "Prinz Food" is offering 1q food for 0.69DEM. That means that food lost HALF of its value in the past month.
And that is just one example, here are more.
Over the past month:
The price of q1 moving tickets has fallen from about 21DEM to 11.48DEM.
The price of a q1 house has fallen from 250DEM to 191.9DEM.
Q1 weapons from 23DEM to 11.5DEM
This is a significant change to our economy. Right now I am enjoying the low prices, but I don't expect things to stay this cheap without negatively affecting our salaries, which might spiral into rapid deflation of the DEM.
I urge our leaders to keep an eye on the economy, action from our government may be needed.

i hope the prices wont stay as low, if everybody takes responsibility and consumes conscious.

i fervently hope the prices will remain this low. salaries decreasing as a result are not a problem as this simply brings the purchasing power ratio back to its former level. the benefit of the low prices is that we will always receive 5 gold for our achievements and therefore it makes them more worthwhile as we will be able to buy more goods
The prices also dropped because the DEM increaed in value dramatically. So in gold terms, the prices actually didnt drop that terribly much.
I agree with Starkad,
in real terms - meaning in gold - nothing really happend to the food prizes.

The action that is "needed" from our leaders has already been put in motion. Cheaper products is the result of our changed tax policy. Good job german congressmembers!

I am actually liquidating my inventory so I can upgrade to ql2, but still, ql1 food for .01 DEM cannot be beat.
To the low Food Prices, they are scarefully it is right, the Q1 Food producing Companies can't pay with this low income their Salaries and Raws. But I think it will be changed, because some of those Compaies want to upgrade to Q2. so then we see a harder market on Q2/Q3 than on Q1. Also is Q1 Food not that thing what newbies need, they need this Q2 and Q3 Food more becuase many of them of a + Q2 House, so it is good that now some of the Companies make an upgrade to help the German Economy at least the German folk.
By the Houses, Houses should be affordable for every German, at least it is also good that they are going to cheaper!
Also we have to say those Cheap Goods are the results of a good increase programm of ppl. and good foreign Policy which made possible to import Raws like Wood,Diamonds and etc. into our market. I think we will see cheap Iron soon too !
To shoot : most of taxes wasn#t get changed 😁 just the Weapons😁
Anyway our Congressmans do a Good job.

Anything but Q4 is for the weak.

Unfortunately I have not kept much of an eye on higher quality goods. I will in the future though.
The market seems to have stabilized now for a few days the cost of grain and labour was higher than what the food was worth.

I don't agree with you here, Starkad. This would only make sense if salaries had fallen due to the increase in gold value of the DEM. But they clearly have not. Prices are going down, less in real terms, yes. But wages are going up, and even more so in real terms. So the lower prices are at the expense of profits. It has little to do with the gold value of the DEM.
