Man in the Mirror [Manifesto and Assorted Madness]

Day 1,737, 02:20 Published in Belgium Belgium by Veruvia

Once again, I find myself dragged into the whirlwind of excitement and madness that are the congressional elections. Suffice to say, I blame those around me for forcing me to run as a candidate. Irregardless of who I blame, I aim to run a campaign built on the promise of efficiency and diplomacy, rather than on abandoning the role once I am appointed and have a delightful medal to display. So, vote for me in Wallonia and you'll get a bloke who promises a lot of things and will fulfill most of them!

The Man Behind the Mask

You might not have heard of me and that's understandable, so here's me telling you who I am. I was born in the United Kingdom where I spent the good part of a year, becoming a two-time congress member, two term Minister of Home Affairs and two term party president of Every Single One. I was awarded an MBE for services to the media and home affairs during my second term as MoHA. I moved to Belgium this month because I wanted a fresh challenge and a change which, since I have friends here, doesn't seem like too much of a problem.

I Predict a Riot

It's always difficult to say things in an election manifesto that hasn't already been said already. I am running not because I want the gold or because I want the medal. I am running because people think that I would be a good candidate and because I have respect for those who I would be working with, both in terms of congressional members and for the government. Rather than write a long manifesto that details much of the things I believe, I will write several pledges that I assure you I will fulfil:
- I will donate the medal gold to the country accounts as a symbol of my commitment to the country and to promoting the strength and welfare of its citizens
- I will offer my opinion on all citizenship applications and communicate effectively what I believe to be the benefits for the nation
- I will offer my opinion on matters of national interest where I feel I have an informed opinion and, if I do not, I will vote according to the strength of arguments offered and not on majority opinion
- I will work with the government to promote a policy of charity, wellness and guidance for new members born in the nation
- I will run for a maximum of two consecutive terms in order to allow new members to run and be given opportunities to step onto the first rung of the political ladder

Make the Mistakes

In other words, experience:
- 2x Congress (UK)
- 2x ESO Party President (UK)
- 1x under-Minister of Home Affairs (UK)
- 2x Minister of Home Affairs (UK)

Vote for me, vote for song titles as sub-headings!
