Maine back in the Confederacy!

Day 656, 08:38 Published in USA USA by ghinculov

AUGUSTA, Maine — The US is home again! All Mainers wish a full-hearted Welcome back in the Union to Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming and, in a few hours, Hawaii. All right, this little sting was a payback for leaving us behing. But we don't hold grudges and are happy to have sacrifice😛 the retreat in Maine was the turning point in this pointless PEACE aggression. During the Russian occupation times were hard, official document written in hieroglyphs, our state devastated but we managed to live and see this glorious day.

Some thoughts on the new United States: first of all, nice new name. The Confederacy has a beautifull ring to it. Second of all: Florida as the new Capital?!? You've been pretty drunk while Maine was away. Or at least we hope that's the explanation.

Well, we're a little drunk too, with all the celebrations and partying. And in that tone, you're all invited here:

Maine Couple to Marry in Star Trek-Themed Wedding

PORTLAND, Maine — Beam me up the aisle, Scottie.

A Maine couple will be married in Philadelphia next weekend in a Star Trek-themed wedding — complete with a contingent of Starfleet officers when they trade vows.

Brad Siegel of Lyman and his fiancee, Kate Erwin, will be married Sept. 13 at Philadelphia's Franklin Institute, not far from Erwin's hometown of Phoenixville, Pa.

The Portland Press Herald says the ceremony will be held on a replica of the Starship Enterprise bridge, which is part of a traveling exhibition.

The couple, who moved to Maine in December, wanted to marry at a "Star Trek" replica in Las Vegas. But while they were making wedding plans, the attraction was demolished.

Then they learned that the Franklin Institute was holding a contest to let one couple have their wedding in the exhibit.
