I announced my intentions of running for Country President a few days ago. Now I, Arius Raposas, shall state my goals for the Philippines. Let us break it down:

* Foreign policy
I have said in a past article that if an ASEAN-like econo-military alliance be made between the two factions in the region today: Indonesia and her ally Thailand, and the Philippines and our allies Malaysia and Singapore. If successful, it would make Southeast Asia one of the strongest military forces in Asia, if not the world. If not successful, I still have two other plans that will act as alternative. Now, those are trained secrets. Even as a pretty new EFilipino, I still have my own political background in other places as well.

* Military policy
Now, I don't blame military units for fighting in other countries than ours if it is to complete their mission. I have had come from a South American mission, so I know the feeling. However, I propose to form a permanent war council that shall form the backbone of our homeland defense, from citizens that are willing to stay only in the country and fight. So, even with other Filipinos fighting abroad, we still stand a chance since we have an army to fight for us here. Besides, battles at home can be more exciting than abroad at times.

* Demographics
I plan to increase the country population by up to 15%. It is necessary. We are currently at war, and for a more numerous enemy like Indonesia, we would need every man we can get. This represents the idea of conscription, and today, we must not be content with a one to five percent growth.

* Economics
If I were president, I must have realized that the economy is a vital part of the war effort and does not let it gloat with insanely high prices. Inflation would be low in the Philippines so that we can devote our resources more for the war effort. Also, I plan to increase the GDP from 5 to 10 percent.
