Join the new world

I've decided to run for Congress again in the state of Louisiana. I hope this article will convince the voters of Louisiana that am ready and able to serve them in Congress. I realize this will be a tough run as Bienville is an experienced candidate and is very active, but I hope you will consider me all the same.

---Who is ZSandmann?---

I have been in the New World for a little over nine months, way back to the end times of Beta and currently I am just outside of the Top 100 eUSA citizens ranking. I visit daily to read papers, train, work, and fight as needed. I participate in the war games and am a member of the eUSA Army. I will admit I am not very active in any one off-site forum, although I am registered there and read them often. Most are not active, and therefore I don't see anything to chime in on. I am a member of the USWP, and would like to fight the image that we are all mindless zombies that just joined the largest party because it was the largest. If I were elected I would have no problem contributing to the eUS Congressional Forums. I am VERY active online, to a fault even, mainly because I sit in front of a computer all day as part of my RL job.

"War and PEACE"

I fully support the ongoing War games in Baja. And although I would love to be using another ATLANTIS nation for those games, I understand the reasons we have chosen Mexico and support the decision. Frankly, we NEED war to remain in the game in global warfare. Without it we are left with no way to boost our national defense and wellness. War is the best option in game to boost your Wellness, giving you a 50 Hp boost if you do it right. There is just no good reason not to fight in these war games. If we stay in peace mode parts of the economy go to crap and everyone spends way too much money on food and gifts which are overpriced as is. It is important that we stay competitive with those that would try to PTO us.

"Raising/Razing ATLANTIS?"

I've been thinking about ATLANTIS since the Uncle Sam fines were levied against us for the war in Mexico. While I find the alliance bloated and full of dead weight much like the RL UN, it must survive. If we allow ATLANTIS to fall apart, PEACE will reign supreme. However, massive overhauls need to be done! The fines for starting wars are grossly inflated, and while countries need to be held accountable there are other ways than crippling an allied nation by taking all their gold.

"Budget Crunching"

I applaud the Scrabman Administration for their budget and will look forward to seeing renewed support of new citizens, the military, and infrastructure constructions.

"No New Taxes?"

I'm not going to allow a RL bias against taxes influence my New World view on them. No one likes paying taxes, but we all have to to build the eUS. Defense Systems, Hospitals, the military, and Meal on Wheels are all essential programs for the strengthening and security of the eUSA. I do not know what the best tax rate is right now, but when shown the costs to keep these issues running smoothly I will put my vote to doing what is right for our country.
