Lottery Winner! - 24/09/09

Day 674, 15:13 Published in Ireland Ireland by The Irish Community

Dear all,

This week's lottery took in 190 IEP. 75% of which is 142.50 IEP, and therefore this week's prize fund. This will be added to the 100 IEP originally promised to make a whopping jackpot total of 242.50 IEP!!!

Following the publication of this article next week's draw will be open, and you can start sending in your 5IEPs (or multiples thereof) to buy your tickets for the draw that will occur next Thursday.

I do have one request - please ensure that donations intended for the ISCF (http://www.erepublik.com/en/organization/1908995) are sent there, as it took a lot of double checking to be sure I hadn't counted that money as lottery money. Lol.

So without further ado, the draw! (thanks to: http://www.random.org/)

And the winner is.... 91!

...which nobody picked 🙁

That does mean the nearest number to it wins half the jackpot (still a very respectable 121.25IEP).

And the nearest number is...90, in fact, so the winner of the half jackpot is Sean Power.

Sending it over to you now, Sean.

The other 121.25 will be rolled over to next week's draw, where I remind you that you should choose a number between 1 and 50, not 1 and 100 as that left fairly low odds of anyone winning the full amount.

The other 47.50 IEP raised will now go straight to the ISCF, along with some other donations that had been made to this account that were intended for ISCF (I did check).

And now I delete all the lottery related PMs from the org...30 PMs is such a small amount when you're organizing this stuff lol.

So get buying your tickets for next week lads, this week's rollover means the jackpot's already guaranteed at a minimum of 121.25 IEP!

Yours in service,
Donut

ETA: Yes, half the 47.5 should go to this org to top it back up to it's budget. I made a mental promise to myself that I'd donate to the ISCF what the lottery did this week. It's easier to send the full total across from here, meaning it shows up as one donation and not two, then send this org's payment from my own account. Which I'll be doing as soon as I reboot my trusty laptop.
