Looking Brightly Toward the Day

If, in RL you moved from Greece to America, you might, but unlikely be considered a foreigner. Regardless, you would be accepted and known as from Greece, but an American.
This, unless I am mistaken, is true with all countries. I can be from England, but a Russian, or vise versa.
So why is it so hard to accept in a game? Why is it so hard to trust people, trust friends, trust allies, accept them?
I look brightly toward the day when I am considered from America, but a Greek. And, above all else, I wish with all my heart, for more like me. Immigrants, from allies the world over, creating a better whole.

There is a tension throughout eRep between those who view it more as a game and those who view it as an arena for RL nationalistic pride to be expressed, e.g., pitting the real-life Russia against the real-life USA. The game wouldn't be as large as it is without those in the second group.
problem is ppl usually join their country of origin, and therefore work for the good of that nation, its basically a team game. so when another team's member comes to ur team, its normal tobe suspicious/unwelcoming (depending on the condition of the nation)
I believe in the ability for humans to understand and work together with other humans based on a common interest or goal. That is all I am suggesting here.
