Living eLife on Fire

Day 947, 00:04 Published in Ireland Ireland by Edana Savage

I decided it was time to get back into politics fulltime. I've missed it. RL has been interesting lately and not in a good way. This month, I have more time to dedicate to the position and so here I am ready and willing to serve.

I always like Bink's take on things. As he says, and I'll paraphrase, he doesn't make promises, he makes commitments. So here are a few commitments that I will make.

- I will push wargames and wars whenever possible ESPECIALLY if it involves NI.

- I will assist as many new citizens I can through development of public policy as well as direct aid and education.

- I will work as a catalyst for change and destroy meaningless boxes whenever I can.

- I will be bold and courageous with both my words and my actions.

- I will serve the people to the best of my ability

- I will not suffer fools and will make fun of them through twisted fairy tales and clever one liners whenever possible. 😉

- I will be active and I will listen.

This has been my commitment in the past and it is my commitment in the present.

I have felt lately that we have been sitting back and waiting for an opportunity to come to us. Sometimes we have to create our own opportunities. That require us to step into the fire.

I have always had this facination with living life on fire; to live with such burning passion very little will keep you from your ultimate desire; to be a firebrand setting other people on fire. Figuratively, of course. Never literally. 😛

We have been in the fire before and we have come out stronger for the experience. It's time to go back. This is a game. We don't play this game to live our eLives conservatively. At least, I don't.

We play this game to be bold and to implement great ideas. And if we fail. So what? At least we dared greatly. I'd rather go down fighting tooth and nail for my country, my people than to slip away quietly in the guise of peace, neutrality and unity.

There is an ebb and flow to everything. We have had a time of stability, which was badly needed. There is a point where this will inevitably degrade into stagnation and well, plain boredom. Which is where people like me come in. 🙂 I may be one of the more vocal, but there are plenty of firebrands out there like me.

You want stability and peace? Continue to elect people who do that. More power to ya.

But.....

If you want to see things change? Then vote for people who aren't afraid to do what needs to be done. People who aren't afraid to be bold and take risks. People who say what they mean and actually DO what they say. A novel thought, aye?

I like to think I'm one of those folks that fall into the later category. 😉

I would be honoured to have your vote on the 25th.
