Listhp & PCP need your vote in the West Midlands

Day 488, 04:07 Published in United Kingdom Australia by Listhp Tomptos

Hello to everyone in WM,

I would like to tell everyone that on March the 25th I will be running for the People's Communist Party in the congress election.

There are many things I would like to improve but I know I'm not Superman so I'll give you a quick list of the major issues for me and my opinions:

War:
While I would love another war with France I think it would need to be very well organised. Last time was a fiasco, prices went through the roof, many people were not in the correct region to fight properly and we had no Q5 hospitals. We were also having problems with the Indonesians and the rest of PEACE. I will vote for a war if the Minister of Defense has a good plan for running it successfully.

Taxes and Trade:
If elected to congress I would vote for trading embargoes with many of the major PEACE countries. I do not believe we should rely on them for any weapons, food, gifts or RM because the moment there is a war involving us they can just get their companies to stop selling to us. Imagine what it would be like if France started to attack and we suddenly found that PEACE companies had stopped exporting iron and we could only make half as many weapons. This is a possible scenario as UK does not produce any of it's own iron.
When it comes to taxes I would only vote to decrease income taxes for oil and wood as these are two minor industries that need support so as they continue to provide wages that are competitive with wages from grain companies. I know many of you might say I have personal interests at heart because I am in the RM industry, but no I don't. I currently work at The People's Commune, as well as having played a minor role to help start it. It is a PCP run organization that aims to help prove that communism can work and I earn the minimum wage of 1GBP a day.

National Health Scheme:
The NHS according to many experienced congressmen/women is the main cause of our current financial problems. If I were to be elected for congress I would vote for gifting upon demand and need. I would also be interested in putting in place a kind of health insurance policy, where for players over level 10 to be gifted they would first need to donate money to the heath system, the money would then have a set percentage of money added to it by the government. When they need wellness they can:
1. Be given gifts and the cost of their gifts taken from the account.
2. If they need a 20+ wellnes they are given two moving tickets, they then go to a war and fight for the side supported by ATLANTIS, then use the highest Q hospital.

Business:
We are currently suffering from a severe shortage of businesses, there is one business for about 18 people. Because of this we have one of the highest unemployment rates in eRepublik and one of the lowest average experience levels. What we need is the government giving many more business loans so as more citizens can be employed and then generate taxes to help pay for NHS etc. I would vote for many more business loans than are currently given.
I would also like to see a profitable government run business in every sector to provide jobs and keep prices reasonable, while still maintaining the current Ministry for Work businesses so as to provide jobs and experience for new players so as they don't leave the eUK or eRepublik.
I would like to pay for/give export licenses to many more businesses or have government run businesses that only export, this provides extra income and keeps our currency strong while leaving space in the local marketplace for our own companies.
Lastly, I would vote to expand eUK's government run banks and increase the amount of loans they give for house's and other personal items. It has been proven in real life that smaller loans are far more likely to be paid back and it is also good for our economy if more people have houses because that means increased wellness and therefore increased productivity.

I hope this makes the process of deciding who you will vote for just that tiny bit easier.
