Listhp and AIP in Victoria

Day 670, 18:57 Published in Australia Australia by Listhp Tomptos
Hey aussies,

I've decided to run for senate in September. So please read this if you are an Australian who wants to vote for an active, independent and experienced candidate who won't disappear two days after being elected.

Policies:
- Try to secure more weapons for lower strength players so as we get a larger amount of players who can hit decent damage.
- Try to get all senators active on the forums. We have only had nine successful proposals for new laws in the past three months (two of which were mine) and only about 18 of the 40 senators are currently active on the forums. Of the 6 Victorian senators only Blackadder, Ezekiel and Ollie have been active enough (none of the others have even managed an average of one post a day).
- Help Australia secure the return of WA.
- Help in the effort to get Q5 hospitals for QLD, Tassy, SA and NT in whatever way possible.
- Do more to get Australian companies expanding overseas. I have already done so with the eAustralian Export License Loan Act but I believe I can do more.
- Help to make getting on Cabinet easier for people not in the Senate. I found this when I was out of the senate this month and realised that you needed to be in the Senate to apply for most positions. I want to make these positions open to the public.

Other things I would like to do:

- I would like to get a position as an apprenticeship in a ministry such as defence, foreign affairs or cultural services.
- I would like to continue to expand the Victorian Co-op. We have managed to make it to Q2 and pay off a loan but we are now aiming for Q3. I then plan to create a weapons company.
- I would like to see if there is anything I can do to improve the forums and the way they are set out.
- I will continue to start community debates in this newspaper so as to get the community more involved in the game and to get more people's opinions out there.

So why vote for me apart from policy:
- I will not go inactive. This is probably the biggest problem Australian politics faces at the moment and I want to part of the solution not the problem.
- I have already served three terms in senate and I know how it works.
- I have played the game for nine months so I understand the game mechanics.
- As an indpendent I can vote whichever way I think is best rather than sticking to party lines.

So I hope you vote for an active, experienced senator on Friday but if not vote for someone else who is experienced and active.
