Let the Voting Begin

Before the polls open for the Party Leader elections, I would like to thank the candidates for the Canadian Social Democrats. I believe that we, as a party, will be the winner no matter who is elected. All of the major candidates have insightful platforms that will help guide the CSD into the new reality of v1, and the new future of our party.

I am confident that we will see an open, collaborative party—one where a member’s opinion is valued no matter how long their membership. We will see a just party—one where the rights of citizens are defended without regard to party affiliation. We will see a national party—one where the Constitution of Canada is not a mere reference point, but a guiding principle for our actions. I am confident about the future of our party.

To 25Fulcrum, Dominik, Zblewski and the rest of the candidates, I cannot wish for your victory; I will reserve that wish for myself; but I can say with sincerity, I look forward to working with you! A unified party is a strong party. Our country needs a strong party.

To the CSD members, and in fact all Canadians, take the time to VOTE. Vote for Zanalan if that is where your conscience leads you, but above all, VOTE!
