Let the New Players Play! Stop Crying!
denversbest02
It is quite funny that so many of the older players are crying over the new training module implemented by the admins. They believe that it is unfair that a new player will be able to reach the same level as them. If they would just take a second and breathe and do the math, they will realize that it really is not a big deal and the admins in no way ruined the game.
Why do they always ruin the game!
First, look at the math, if you have been playing the game 1 year longer than a new player, it would take them 4 months of straight training, paying 1.8 gold per day in order to catch up. By then you would have gained another 4 month lead, which they would have to make up in 2 months, in turn it would take almost a year of straight training everyday with 1.8 gold for them to catch up. If you are 2 years older, forget about it. Not to mention you have the option to train that way also.
Second, you think it is unfair to buy their way up to your level, well in all honesty it’s not fair that the only reason you are stronger is because you are older or cheated on the trivia when it was implemented. You earned nothing! Why should you be stronger, because you participated longer in the game? Why would any new player want to play the game if they will always be two years behind and can never contribute or catch up?

There is no way to please everyone, someone will always cry when something new is implemented. The best thing you can do is just adapt to it. It adds a new strategy to the game and one I think will be very interesting. Do countries now spend gold to build up tanks and let them tank, or do they spend gold to boost the army’s strength as a whole. There is always some reason for the new implementation, maybe the new war module will have less bearing on strength. No one knows for sure. All I can say for now is STFU and play the game. If you don’t like it, go find another game, but don’t be an a-hole about it because you are scared that a newer player will pass you in strength and you will no longer get BH medals. It is the same old song that is said every time the admins change something, and I am sure the same people will complain when the new war module comes out.
Doesn't this say it all

So you took the admin propaganda about this being a help for new players?
I have 400 gold, I would like to see the new player who can top that. Oh yes, without a credit card of course.
Looks like you will have no problem training then 😉
Come back in a year and a half when you've spent the entire time striving to become one of the top players in the game and suddenly some kid with his dad's credit card can jump in and get there in half the time.
I have to wonder how long you've been playing games if you can't figure out why those who were here earlier deserve to be more powerful. They've put in the most time and effort, why shouldn't they have something to show for that?

Drake Koeth, I partly disagree, there should be a way for others to catch up if they are more active and simply better. But not using a credit card.
As overused as it is now: YOU FAIL.
What kind of new player do you think will/can pay money to have their strength raised in such a way? The only people this benefits are rich people (ex: Parter), and the top tanks to begin with. Their countries will feed their tanks gold in order for them to train at the highest rate each day.
It's the first step to a pay-to-play game. If this is allowed by us, the players, to continue, erepublik will turn into one of those shitty games with micro-payments up the ass where the guy who spends 1000 dollars gets out ahead.
The Admins are rather short-sighted. Sure, right now this feature will get them a few bucks here and there, but then later people will be quitting left and right. Then their game dies. Not even the rich will play when there is nobody but rich people to play with.
So how can I, as a new player, use this new system without gold? Is there a gold tree that the admin are hiding somewhere that we can use?
@ Rooke😛 I don't disagree that it is obviously a ploy for more money. But you have to agree that there has to be some way for a citizen to catch up. I don't believe I should be 2 years stronger and skilled then someone who starts just because I have played it longer. Like I said, it will take at least a year for someone to catch either you or I, and who knows what changes will be made by then. Look at the bright side, at least you don't have to pay to play. I have been hearing the same cries every time they change something, people will continue to play the game regardless.
@ Kell: If it means that much to you, you can pay for it. Work 30 days straight, gain 5 gold and do it that way as well.
Well, for me, I see it as less being about new players then that the fact that someone can just BUY their way to Field Marshall. So if say Poland wants to get some nice big boys to get rid of Lithuania, they just pour their treasury into their soldiers and BAM, they have a super-army.
