Learn, it's good for you!

Day 548, 12:23 Published in Ireland Ireland by Digits 05637716

Hi, I am 05637716. Some of you may know me from such films as 'Is that your phone number?' or 'Why don't you pick a proper nickname?'

I recently became the new 20th Century International History in our wonderful Irish university, and I'm here to urge you to go and learn. Experience has taught me it's useful to know things, and that it's handier to know something then to not know anything. So what are you waiting for?

Head over!

Here's a little flavour from my first class:

The twentieth century has become known amongst historians as the age of extremes: world wars, cold wars, economic wars, the fall of colonialism, the mighty battle between communism and capitalism, and the seeming victory of the latter. It could be argued that all of the events of the previous centuries from the dawning of the Modern Age with the Enlightenment and French Revolution to the Industrial Revolution put all of the chess pieces into place, for the epic battles that would unfold the following century. So to start off, we take a whirlwind tour and acquaint ourselves with what the world was like in 1900.
