Lazy Workers: My Solution

Day 1,138, 19:22 Published in USA USA by csabo07

Hello eUSA!

It's been a while since I've last written, and my apologies for that. Real life events can really get in the way of everything else during the holiday season. Now that all of that is out of the way, I can start writing once again.

I recently read Joseph Dinero's article on deadbeat workers. Read it here to get an idea of what I'm about to talk about ---->http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/why-are-there-so-many-deadbeats--1622630/1/20

It really got me thinking about the problem.

Now I'm sure we all remember the times when we were all eNoobs. We barely earned any money, and yet found ourselves spending all of our money on some war we didn't even make an impact on. That little "fight" button was just too tempting to pass. The result left us with no money, which meant no food, and ultimately, no wellness.

This affects the economy often in a bad way. As an owner of 4 companies, I have a very hard time with this kind of worker. These are the people that try and get away with working at less than 50 wellness, despite my requests to bring it up. I've even brought up my workers' wellnesses up personally by sending tons of food. But the next day, their wellness is in the drain. The big problem here is that there are no reasons for a worker to have a high wellness!

Having these people work for you is like throwing your money down the drain.

But why would a newer player work to bring their wellness up when their pay is always the same? There has to be at least one factor that encourages a higher wellness for workers. I believe I have a
solution.

Imagine a situation where we were paid based on our productivity.

If that were the case, hard working players with high wellnesses would be rewarded, while the deadbeats that work with low wellness, get much less. This would get those lazy workers thinking, "Maybe I should bring my wellness up to get more money." The result leaves workers and company owners happy.

I'm sure some of you will argue that with this effect, players with low productivity won't even be able to buy food. My answer to that: Smart Money Management.

My note to any new players reading this ----> Save up money and avoid fighting until you are financially stable. It will always pay off in the end.

Well, thank you for listening to my rant. Please feel free to post your opinions and arguments!

Hope you have a great night eUSA!
