Latvian guide to Estonia
Ofenrohr
A few days ago I saw this "Guide to Estonia" and decided to write my own guide from a Latvian view. So here goes:
1. If you are going to visit Estonia, you need to contact your Estonian friends. Preferably via Skype:
2. Most likely, as a Latvian, you would like to visit Saaremaa, the home of Suur Tõll:
3. But on your way there don't forget to visit Munamägi and have a great view on Estonia:
4. During your trip you should eat Kama at least once:
5. And have a bottle of Vana Tallin with you:
6. Don't forget to thank for the support of Tallinna Rahvuslaste Klubi in our recent language referendum (much appreciated!):
7. And also bring some Kārums saldējums as a treat for your Estonian friends:
8. Long live Estonia - my personal favourite neighbor!
And here's also a little request for you - since I really enjoy drinking beer and I'm planning to visit Estonia this summer, I'd like to hear your opinion, which Estonian beer I should definately try during my trip (or which beer is considered to be the best in Estonia) and which ones would be the ones I should stay away at all cost?
🙂

kui sa mulle karumsi kiivi maitselisi kohukesi tood sis ma võin välja uurida
Nice!
1 Saku Hele
2 Alexander
3 Saku Kuld
Karumsi asemel võtaks parema meelega Riga Balzams´it🙂
Hail Latvia!
Don't drink Saku Originaal, drink A. Le Coq Premium. But.. if the weather gets too hot, then i'd recommend Saku On Ice.
Don't drink Saku Originaal, drink A. Le Coq Premium. 2x A le Coq pilsner is good too, and Alexander.
Stay alcohol free and drink A. Le coq Kali!
in my opinion top beers is estonia
1. A. Le Coq Special Edition
2. A. Le Coq Premium
3. Saku On Ice
Special Edition one of the best beers i have ever tried but i don't know if they still make it because i think it was limited edition... screwable cap very easy to open
Saku Dublin is really good
Best Estonian beer is Corona. Its really good with Pringles, which is our ethnical food.
Karums is best.
Nice guide.
Kuulge õlleninad, mis oleks selline mahedam õlu nii maitsele kui rahakotile?
Drink all (or at least some of them) Estonian beers and tell us which beer is the best one.
If you happen to visit Tallinn, check out http://beerhouse.ee/. They have my local favorite "Märzen speziel" there.
Beerhouse is good, they brew their own beers
Bock ruulib!
I'd recommend Walter: http://www.xn--sstumarket-q5aa.ee/?op=body&id=54
Best price to quality ratio in my humble opinion.
Kama is da best!
Oi! mate, fuck beer, drink vodka.
All hail Karums!
Guide to Estonia for finnish people:
1. Get out of ship
2. Find and visit Super Alko
3. Back to ship
Thanks for the great responses so far, guys! : )
Regarding A. Le Coq, I'd be very careful there, because it belongs to the Olvi (Finland) group that also owns our "Cēsu alus" - http://www.cesualus.lv/lv/images/struktura.jpg
Which actually leads into this - http://dzerualu.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/cesu.jpg
I hope that the story about Saku is a bit different as it belongs to the same Carlsberg group as our "Aldaris".. ; )
..but then again:

So I would also like to hear what great small breweries do you have as those are most likely more unique. ; )
The Beerhouse looks like a very nice place to visit though, I'll make a note for it!
Very nice, Ofenrohr... And how should Lithuania feel ? 😃 😃
Hey, Udra, Lithuania should feel just fine, you're our big brothers. : )
Before you jump to any conclusions, you should know that I'm originally living not more than 5km from Latvian - Estonian border so I know plenty of Estonians, but only a few Lithuanians and I haven't ever been in Lithuania so I just can't make an non-biased comparison (nor should I try).
But from the other side, I might visit Lithuania next summer after this one to see what I've missed. Cheers! ; )
Good post, kudos!
This is why I haven't quit eRep yet 😉
