Last Congress Update (Voting info)

This will be the last update on my voting record until the elections. There were quite a bit of proposals this last and has been a very interesting week due to congressman resigning and a lot going on with war and everything. MPP (Dec 12th): Mutual Protection Pact with Argentina
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: This MPP was one that we had and was coming close to expiring. So we decided to renew it.

Donate (Dec 12th): Transfer of 70 gold to the National USA Federal Reserve
Outcome: Approve
My vote: Yes
Reason: We started to get a lot of money in our treasury, and we conduct the country finances through the reserve.

MPP (Dec 13th): MPP with Sweden
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: Same as above, it was expiring, plus they helped a lot in the war against France.

MPP (Dec 14th): MPP with Canada
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: Same as above

Donate: (Dec 15th): Transfer $99,999 from country accounts to the Reserve.
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: Money was to be used for the war to supply troops with weapons and wellness

Tax Change: (Dec 15th): Changing Grain VAT tax from 1% to 0%, Income tax from 1% to 10%.
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: This tax proposal was not one sided, it was about a 70% approval. The reason I think a higher tax is a good idea is for many reasons. 1. The country needs taxes in order to fund wars, without tax, we have no money to use. 2. The tax only affects those who are profiting, and with the prices that rm are at, there is plenty of that going around.

MPP: (Dec 16th): MPP with Spain
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: Same as above

Buy Constructions: (Dec 16th): Buying a Q4 defense system for Florida
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: Florida is one of our most popular states; it has a Q5 hospital and is a border state.

MPP: (Dec 17th): MPP with the U.K.
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: Same as above. These were already in place; we are just renewing them before they expire.

Buy Constructions: (Dec 17th): Q3 Defense System for New Jersey
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: Not only is it a border state (France), but it contains one of our iron resources. We need to protect what little we have.

Buy Construction: (Dec 18th): Q3 Defense System for Maryland
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: Border state with Q4 hospital. We do not want to lose that.

Tax Change: (Dec 18th): Changing Oil income tax from 7% to 10%
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: same reasons as grain. Also we are pushing for an across the board income tax for Raw materials. This is the second one to be changed.
