Kommunism for the Philippines!

Day 955, 11:28 Published in Philippines Philippines by cruelbear

Hey all:

I know I haven’t written in a while, but I am here today to announce my candidacy as President. I won’t be able to do a whole lot for a while after this month, so I figured now was a great time to run for president again. I have been wanting to do this for a while now, but I had been restricted with the time that I had. This month, for the most part, should be fairly open for me, with only a few days where I won’t be able to do much. Anyway, I have three main reasons for running:

1. To make life more interesting here in the ePhilippines.
For the last few months, we have had to constantly worry about PTOers running for president, and we haven’t had an election since my last presidency where we didn’t have an official candidate the entire government and most of the population was supporting. I feel friendly competition in elections, can help to boost activity, if only slightly, and make our country a better place, as Presidential candidates have to actually work for their positions. We don’t have the immediate threat of PTO right now, with only 3 parties, so it is (for the most part) safe for an actual election to take place. However, to have a good election, you need something that helps separate the candidates from each other. Which brings me to my second reason for running:

2. To bring the country to Kommunism.
I have been playing with the idea of how to make the country more Kommunist, and, after discussing it, planning it out, and thinking of possible outcomes, I am fairly happy with the idea. Therefore, if I win, I plan on making the country more Kommunist!
The idea is somewhat simple, either, the government buys up most of the local companies, or makes more companies. We then raise taxes, to dissuade people from starting more companies, and prevent imports of goods that we don’t need from making it into our borders. The advantage of government company, is that taxes don’t matter for it. Whatever money is taxed, can be put back into the company, as it’s all government money. All government companies will have set prices and wages, and this will at the very least keep prices stable, and possibly cause us to have lower prices and higher wages.
However, I know most company owners won’t want to give up their companies too easily, so I am willing to work out deals with them. We still raise taxes, but we give the company money if they follow our set prices and wages, to offset the high taxes. If they aren’t willing to follow the government, they will have to deal with the taxes on their own. We will try to keep these companies being profitable if they work with us, though.
I suppose that is the basis of my plan for Kommunism here in the Philippines, and it ultimately should lead to much more stability, and lower prices and higher wages for the country. Now, for the final reason I’m running for president:

3. For teh lulz.
I think that says enough. 🙂
However, that doesn’t mean I don’t have a serious campaign. I do plan on doing all this if I am elected.

On a side note, Hekter has agreed to be my VP, meaning I'm not entirely crazy, someone actually agrees with me!
