Knowing your neigbhours: Malaysia

The following is an interview I had with eMalaysian Minister of Defense Leo Syahmessi in an effort to get to know some of the countries in the region.

I have just recently finished an article educating Australians about out new ally, Cyprus. I was wondering if I may ask you a few questions to help understand what eMalaysia is like?

Leo Syahmessi:
I will be happy to help you. I will try my best to answer all the questions given. Just try me. 🙂

To start things off, how would you describe your eNation?

Leo Syahmessi:
eMalaysia is a neutral nation that actually have been fighting on
ProCoT side since few months ago. eMalaysia is consist of native
people and a few of foreigners from around the world.

Recently,there is some big issues that cost us to be wiped by the
eThailand & airstrike by eMontenegro. They are working together
to wipe us as both of them are from TWO. Actually by the eSerb
people (eThailand & eMontenegro's government are Serbian)

What are your strength & your weakness?

Leo Syahmessi:
Our strength is in the political. We have an ATO team that have
fought many PTOers that trying to move in and lots of multies that
had been created by the PTOers. Actually this is our weakness
too because we are lacking RL players that cause the PTO's
intention. Even we have been PTOed many times before by the Serb,
Turks etc.

How is your media? Is morale high?

Leo Syahmessi:
Our media is not consistent. Sometimes you can saw 5-7 articles
being published in 1-2 days but sometimes just 1-3 articles
because of lack players & lack activities. And recently,the
invasion from the eThai & eMontenegro has brought our media
became active again. The people are trying to express their
feelings towards the issues. I hope it will continue.

Can you describe the political climate? Is it divided by differing plans, or squabbling politics?

Leo Syahmessi:
I can say that we have a very peaceful politics here because our
people are united even though they are from different parties.
It's because every month,we will have to face the multies created
by the PTOers that always trying to get into our congress for
their own benefit. So, we had to control our political activities.

Are there any fued/arguments that run deep in the community?

Leo Syahmessi:
Like i said before,our community are really united and work
together to defend our country from being PTOed. So,there's not
much arguments happened in the community. IF we have some
arguments, we will discuss it and settle it calmly and peacefully.
There's no need to fight with each other as we are not having a
large population to handle.

Are there issues that arise from RL between citizens?

Leo Syahmessi:
For us, RL is a different world.So,we will not talk about RL
issues too much because we don't want it to affect the harmony
and prosperity of the people. So,we always trying not to bring it
into eRepublik.

Is there much innovation happening within your community?
- Are there any dynamics withing your community that would be good to know?
- Any really positive things that the community does?

Leo Syahmessi:
(I take this three questions as one ;p)

Not too much because of the lack of players. Many players
are leaving this game and some of them became passive. So,there's
not much positive things except from the government.

Is there much change happening? Are people coming up with new ideas?

Leo Syahmessi:
Every month,you will see the same government,same people,same
cabinet. There's not much changes happened. People don't want to
involve much in the politics & serve for the government because
they think they will have to be proactive and need to work hard.
They refuse to take any responsibility. Only few people will come
out with some new ideas even though some of it are not really new
because the government have done it before.

What are your personal goals for your country?

Leo Syahmessi:
I just want to help my country to get strong,make some babybooms
to increase our populations. That's my goals. Nothing more.

What would you like to see happen in the next month?

Leo Syahmessi:
I would like to see CoT & TWO fighting each other next month..
Hahaha. Just kidding. I just want my country to get back in the
map next month and being accepted in any alliance especially CoT
because we are proudly fighting for them at the moment.

Has CoT been of much real benefit to you in recent times?

Leo Syahmessi:
During the Cromanian invasion,CoT are really help us to fight against them and we are working together to kick out the Croatian from the South East Asia with eIndonesia as the lead..After that success,we are signing MPP with eIndonesia,eMKD & eChile since then..everything is good until we are having some problems on February with the eThailand which is an ACT member and become worst last month..after that,CoT are no longer helping us because ACT is a wing of TWO and CoT & TWO is allies..they refuse to MPP with us except our Slavomacedonian friends which is the only one MPP that we have currently..

For your information,we are among one of the weak countries in the eWorld..so,being ProCoT and has MPP with some of them are really giving much benefit to us since they always have MPP battles..we are also indebted to them for helping us during the Cromanian invasion..that's why we are still fighting for CoT in their battles until now..(actually most of it for the eMKD)

So,if you want to ask me whether CoT giving us much benefit or not in recent times,i will say both.. ;p
