Knesset Members, Please Read!

Day 1,528, 06:31 Published in Israel Israel by Sam Krak

(Hebrew is on the way!)

Hello there eIsrael!

And congratulations to all of the newly elected Knesset members! This is your home now:

I'm back in here for my 21st term, so it feels good to be back after a 2 month hiatus.

I'm going to charge you new Knesset members with a couple of things here, I'll call it the Knesset Charge.

THE KNESSET CHARGE

1. I charge you, Knesset Member, to always think in the interests of eIsrael. Do not let greed or political tension get in the way of that. You were elected by the people of eIsrael, for the people of eIsrael. You will serve them.

2. I charge you to remain active in the Knesset's duties. If there is a proposal, vote upon it. Offer discussion and debate in all forms of interest to eIsrael. The more you do, the better you'll contribute to improving the country.

3. I charge you to look to your constituents, to hear their thoughts and ideas, and get your opinions to be their opinions. You are there as a representative of your constituents, not a representative of yourself.

4. I charge you to be bipartisan (tripartisan? quadpartisan?) and find common ground with all members of the knesset. Do not disagree or brush off an idea because one has a different party, ethnicity, background, or anything else. The people elected you because they think you can get past that, and improve this nation.

5. I charge you to enjoy your stay in the eIsraeli Knesset. I have served their 21 terms, twice as the Speaker of the Knesset, and it is an absolute adventure. You'll see good times, bad times, and everything in-between. Make sure you do what you fully believe is right for the country, and you can;t go wrong.

Good Luck Gentlemen and Ladies, and welcome to the Knesset.

Very Respectfully,
Rep. Sam Krakower
(IWP-Nazareth North)
