Kitarou for 2013, Kitarou for 2014!

Day 2,227, 14:44 Published in Japan Denmark by Kitarou

Dear citizens of eJapan,

First and foremost I would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

The month of December was a platform that was needed for this government to establish a foothold in eJapanese politics. A cabinet was created which needed its time to settle in their roles. Some ministers were quite experienced, some of them quite the contrary. Knowledge is a virtue when it comes to the running of a ministry, but early on it became clear that this is not what had been lacking in eJapanese politics.

Throughout this month various changes took place in the what I had thought to be a stable cabinet selection. A few ministers, although experienced and competent in their tasks, appeared to be quite uninterested in their position. Activity was lower than what should be expected of cabinet members, which resulted in things needing to be changed up. At the end of the day, it was enthusiasm that was lacking within some of the cabinet members. Many are veteran players of this eRepublik game, and things had become stale and boring.

Despite these issues, December has been a very productive month for this government. We’ve been on a bumpy-road but have set the foundations for what we feel are great improvements for the nation and will finally put us on the right-path to becoming what many of us sought when we came to eJapan.

A term of a single month simply doesn’t suffice in order for a cabinet to be effective. A lot of things had been set in stone by former governments, which means we’ve been limited in our ability to enact major reforms in terms of both internal and foreign policy.

With the publication of this article I hereby announce my candidacy for Country President for the month of January, 2014. Over the course of next week I will publish my plans for my Presidency if I am to be re-elected. Unfortunately, I will be on absence for a brief period of time, therefore these articles (although written by me) will be published by Masaharu Homma.

If you have any questions and/or concerns, please feel free to comment.

Signed,

Kitarou Yuki
