Killing a business...

Day 44, 00:00 Published in Spain Spain by Lint

Let's assume the hypothetical situation that the market is very saturated in a sector, and that a company or two dominate all the rest. Let's assume that the businessman who is ruined wants to dismantle his company and that the one that got rich wants to buy it.

In this "unlikely" situation I think that the admins would have to create an option to fuse companies, or to allow their total destruction. In the gifts industry, in Spain, there is a ghost company known as ¡Sorpresa! whose founder has more companies, but he seems to have forgotten them. The rest of the companies are almost in bankruptcy because of a price war (that's still going on: gifts are cheaper than food!).

The only way to dismantle a company is selling it, and I think it's ludicrous because in th first place, the owner would have to pay two maintenances (as set by the town's mayor), despite only one business is giving profits. What to do? Wait till it's closed by the admins, or have faith and hope that no other citizen buys the company at a low price and with enough strength to keep on the rivalry in prices?

I wish this one will be another detail resolved in the final version of Erepublik...

Possible solutions:

- Option to dismantle a business

- Option for selling part of the business (maybe in issied shares)

- Fusing companies

- Pacting prices officially and with the government permission
