Just a Thought...

Now onto the news...

I haven’t been around that long, and I definitely don’t know everything that ever happen on this silly game, but I do have some serious questions for whomever to answer… I guess I just don’t get it. I don’t get why a few people here have to cheat to try to win a game, and they won’t stop until they have control of everything. What exactly is the point? I play video games. I love them. I love to beat them. It is fun. I know they make walk-throughs and guides and cheat codes to help you play and win games, but the purist in me refuses to use those, because it doesn’t seem fair. Does it really count as a win, if I didn’t use my own skill to accomplish the feat? I would win every game I ever played if I had the settings on easy, used cheat codes to make my guy invincible, and had someone who has already played the game give me step by step instructions on what to do and how to do it. The game would be a breeze, but how much fun would I have playing it? It doesn’t prove anything to anyone.

I also have a love for sports. I have been involved in a sport in some capacity for the last 28 years of my life. I pride myself on my athletic ability, knowledge of the game, and my competitive spirit. For me, the whole point of playing and winning (and doing it the right way) is to prove that I am better than you, and I’m not lying when I say that I’m better than a lot of other people on this Earth. Never once in my career did I have to cheat to win. It never appealed to me. I didn’t want to win if I had to do something against the rules to gain an advantage, because it wouldn’t prove that I was a better player. It only proved I was a better cheater. I want to play you straight up, and if you win, so be it. You are the better person on the day, and I need to work that much harder for next time. Some people here should take a cue from sports and instead of trying to cheat their way to the top, they should work harder the right way to beat their opponent.

I wonder what the “cheaters” families would say to them, if they knew how un-cool they really were. My family already thinks I’m ridiculous, and I don’t play this game nearly as long as I could (or do with others). If I had to operate multiple accounts, spending my hard earned cash building up these fake characters in an effort to try to take over a country, then I would have some serious explaining to do. What message would I be sending to my kids or my wife? It’s okay to be an idiot son, as long as when you are done, you are the fake president of a fake country in a video game. With that power you can bankrupt said fake nation, rule like a dictator, kill off all of your political opponents and their political parties, and then leave like a thief in the night. And, you can have all of the power for 30 whole days! He would probably love that, but then again, he is 12. Most of the people here are adults. Normal, right- minded, thinking people don’t act like that. But let’s be honest here… We have some wing nuts in our midst. Too many people here think this is real, and it is scary.

I was playing NCAA 13 a while back, and I won the Heisman Trophy and the National Championship in the same season. I went into the living room to proclaim my greatness to my family… My wife looked at me like I was retarded and said “yay,” in a monotone voice. “Well Mr. Heisman Trophy Winner, go in the kitchen and see if you can’t ‘shake n bake’ some dinner.” All of my hard work and effort, and she makes fun of me. And she should. I didn’t do anything fancy. It wasn’t even important at all.

Why do I bring this up? To show you how ridiculous all of this PTO/ATO stuff is. If you want to be the President of the eUSA, you should have to prove you deserve it. If you can’t do that, step aside and let the next person run. Fairly. Stop the non-sense. No more cheating, no more multi-accounts, no more importing foreign votes, no more threats, no more BS. Try to do it the right way. Each party should be allowed to put up their candidate without another party trying to steal an election. Again, what does this prove? I read a post in a comment section by one person who said “INCI was this time, your party is next.” Why? Because you can’t win fairly, you have to attack other parties and try to take them over, so that you can complete your goal of being the Supreme Dictator of the eWorld? Seems stupid. If I told my wife that I was planning on doing this, she would probably divorce me. And she should. Instead of putting that much effort into a fake persona in a fake world, I should be putting effort into making my real life person better.

You want to make this game fun, and you want people like me to stick around and continue to play? Here is my proposition… First and foremost, remember one thing. It is only a game! Number two… Stop the nonsense. EVERYONE. Play the game the way it was meant to be played, without interference from rival parties. No more multiple accounts. No more trying to siphon votes away from legit elections. No more buying, importing, stealing, or cheating your way to the top. No more trying to plant your “minions” into other people’s parties in an effort to usurp the real people of the party’s wishes. Number three… If you work hard and don’t get the desired result, work harder. Don’t try to cheat better! It proves nothing!

Lots of wishful thinking here I’m sure, because some people here are so hell bent and power thirsty that they will do anything it takes to get to the top. That is a shame.

Clean this game up or new people will leave, I promise. I am one of them, and I can guarantee that there are many more just like me.
