John Forseti for the North East: A Congressional Manifesto

Day 488, 14:22 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by John Forseti
Who Are You?

Greetings citizens of the North East, I am John Forseti, one of the Unity Party candidates, standing alongside Malta 1990, once again hoping to represent you in Congress and the House of Commons.

I've played eRepublik for approximately 5 months now, during that time I have;

* Served my Party in my capacity as Administrative Executive of the Unity Party
* Served our Nation militarily as a Sergeant in the Royal Guards
* Served our Government as Minister for Work during two presidencies
* Served your Region as Director of the North East's NHS Clinic

And now I want to further my service to your region and our nation in Congress.

Why Should I Elect You?

I hope you'll agree that I'm a citizen in good standing, I have given over a great deal of to improving our nation and I believe this has given me the experience necessary to perform well in congress. I'm very active on our forums, where our laws and policies are most often made and decided, another necessity for making a good congressmen. And of course I believe I'm in this for the right reasons, I want to work to improve our great nation, our great region and all our e-lives.

What Will You Do for the North East?

UK legislation gives congressmen a range of resources and responsibilities for improving their regions. If I elected I would work alongside your other representatives to make the North East live up to it's potential, to turn your region from what is, for a substantial number of people, simply another name alongside their location, into a real part of our identity, something to be truly proud of, just like it's name-sake, the real North East. A place which I'm proud to count as my homeland in real life as well.

How Would You Accomplish That?

Our first priority would be to increase forum activity. Using our congressional allowance, which I would propose is payed for by myself and my fellow congressmen from the congressional medal gold, since the Bank of England is still unfortunately unable to provide it, we could set up more regional competitions to encourage citizens to make the move to the forums. Hopefully they will decide to stay. With more citizens we can establish a greater atmosphere of friendliness and comradeship and working with Transport for London we can further increase our numbers by attracting people from the over-crowded regions. Once we have more activity we can think about setting up some kind of regional governance to further enrich your experience, allowing decisions to be made more locally, give our citizens a chance to experience a position of responsibility and provide for our less well off citizens alongside the NHS and Department for Work.

The Unity Party?

I am standing as an officially endorsed candidate of the Unity Party, as such a candidate I am also standing for the ideals and policies outlined in our party manifesto, which is decided by all members of the party working together to hammer out what we think will be the best way forward for our nation.
