Joe Lansing for Congress in Tennessee!

I have decided to run for Congress in the great state of Tennessee. I know that it’ll be tough to come in after such a great Congressman as Gaius, but I don’t think I’ll disappoint. If you don’t believe me, here’s my platform:

Support of Military
I will support all motions to give more funding to our military, especially while we are in this World War. Having served in the Mobile Infantry, and now the Home Guard, I know that the US military machine can do great things; we just have to support it. With the help of all citizens, average and extraordinary alike, our country will come through this war better than ever.

New Citizen Education
It has never been more important than now to make sure that ALL US citizens know what they are doing, and how to defend our country. Through great programs like The Mentorship Program (of which I am a mentor and mentee), Meals on Wheels, and MASH I know that this is possible. If elected, I will ensure that these programs keep running strongly and smoothly, and hopefully another one will be developed during my term.

Government Transparency and Integrity
Our government needs to make sure that all citizens are constantly informed about what is going on behind currently closed doors. I promise that I will post my voting records in this paper throughout my entire term, and possibly even give you a look into my reasoning behind votes. Now more than ever, our government needs to no longer focus on partisanship or selfishness, but work together as a team to ensure the best for everyone in this county, and or allies around the world.

Tennessee, all this will be yours and all you have to do is vote Joe Lansing for Congress, July 2009.
