JLP Plan of Action - Part 1: Society
Antonio Fonti
In the current world we live in, the government, the decisions about the country and most importantly our eLives are ran by the minority, I wrote an article about this earlier outlining my fears that this was what I would call a “button clicking” nation.
There is little to no involvement in how this country works from the ordinary man, we at the JLP hope to change this, the forum will become a place of greater activity during a JLP government, people will be encouraged and maybe even rewarded for their contributions to discussions. Everything will be open to the common man; we have no secrets to hide from our own people(obviously security will be tight in case of spies though)
Decisions most of the time in this nation, are taken without the consent of the majority people who keep it running (though this could be attributed to those people’s inactiveness), we hope to change this by allowing every ministerial department to be ran and operated by one person and a team if they need help. This will allow greater involvement by the normal Japanese citizen and allow them greater sway over how the nation is run. The main problem in the nation at the moment is that people are not being given enough to do, of course we are hoping to change this problem by giving benefits to those who do, ministerial departments to encourage even further involvement in those, will be given assignments, voted on by the congress, every week to complete.
As mentioned above Congressmen and Mayors will also be given greater powers over the nation, they are given authority by the people and as I will describe in my constitutional reforms they will affect how the President is able to use his powers, with their consent to be needed before key and vital decisions are taken. This will hopefully give more meaning to those who occupy the positions.
As done in the US, a Ministry of “Fun” will be created, in theory its goal is to create entertainment for our currently bored populace and provide a wealth of new goals for them to strive for, therefore encouraging greater involvement, as the game in its current form can be extremely boring for those that just work, the key to a active population in my opinion is if they are given interesting and fun things to do and great eGoals to accomplish and that is what we want to do.
I have talked about Ministerial Positions; these are the positions that we will hopefully have in the future, under JLP leadership:
. Minister of Defence (Role to be described in Military and Defensive Plan)
. Minister of Immigration (Role described in Economic Plan)
. Economic Minister (Role to be described in Economic Plan)
. Employment Minister (Role to be described in Economic Plan)
. Fair Trade Minister (Role to be described in Economic Plan and Constitutional Reforms)
. Minister of Health ((Role to be described in Economic Plan)
. Minister of Foreign Relations (Role to be described in Foreign Relations Plan)
+ Ambassadors for each alliance/ unaligned nation.
. Minister of “Fun” (Role described above)
The next article will be Foreign Relations, though a new order has been picked for my plans to be release
😛
. Society
. Foreign Relations
. Constitutional Reforms
. Military and Defencive Plan
. Economic and Employment Policy
. Everything Else

Hello!
Is Japan a good country to move to if you\'d like to start a company?
JOE
i got quite a few when i came here within the first week, i think is actually quite a good place imo.
Many of these things are already happening or in the pipelines with the current government. The only new thing i see is Minister of \"Fun\" and the only reason why at the moment there are only 3 people in the government, is because there haven\'t been any other people that have shown the ambition to join the government. All the people that are now in the government have come to me and have shown to be ambitious and the right persons for the job. Every citizen that wants can apply for a job in the government as a minister or as a assistant to a minister.
I was thinking for moving to a new country and try something new, like running a company.
Some questions:
How big is the company tax?
Is the company tax the same all around the country?
@ Origineel.NL
My whole plan was about encouraging people to get more involved, the current government isn\'t actively doing that, you say no one has asked to do the jobs,.well have you asked other people? Have you enouraged them to get more active?
If there is no government encouragement what incentive do people have to join your ministries?
@ Prop. Joe ill check it out now, i seem to remember it getting raised quite high to deal with new companies though.
And btw this is the smallest of my plans(as society always is), the elections are still far away im not going to give them all away this early in the game.
Why do you think i\'ve moved argubly the biggest area, economics, to the end?
\"If there is no government encouragement what incentive do people have to join your ministries? \"
The will to make the country better, if you need to be encourage you probably not good enough.
And i have also posted numerous article about getting people to the forum to get more involved with the government, to ask question and to give suggestions. At the moment Japan simple isn\'t big enough to need a bigger government.
Antonio got the point. \"Power\" in Japan is managed by few people. Lucky us that these people are good and wise, like Origineel.Nl and King Waseem. The were forced to get all decisions, since few people want to take some times to improve Japan. I\'m a medium active eCitizen, and I became a CongressMan! And I help King Waseem in some activities, like Health and so on. Why? Due the \"laziness\" of other men. So, I agree with Anotiono\'s ideas, but we should find and motivate the new eCitizens. It\'s a difficult task: I sent 30+ welcome messages to new and idle players, and I received 3 replies... Good luck 😛
And the fact that your talking about \"im not going to give them all away this early in the game.\" Then Im really asking my self, if you do this in the best interested of Japan. Im interested in the best for Japan, so if you would really have that good of a plan, then i would be glad to lose the next election from you. or to even give you my position in the bushido party. Thats the way it has been going in the Japan, we help each other all the parties mixed. Not us or them, but the best for Japan.
But im interested in what your next article will bring.
@Prop. Joe
Company tax 100Jpy
House tax 2.5Jpy (Fukuoka)
@ Prop Joe
No, the market will not gain. We need workers, no company in this period.
I guess Japan is not for me. I\'ll keep looking then.
Thanks for all your answers!
Good luck Joe 🙂
@ Origineel.NL My plans are quite good imo, they are a combination of playing tips i have learn\'t from my many travels, the US and the UK in paticular are good places for new ideas.
@ Prop Joe,
Not all the regions have 100JPY tax yet.
