JIS: Citizen of the Week #3.

Day 678, 14:43 Published in Japan Japan by Japanese Interior Service

Every week JIS will be highlighting a single special citizen for special treatment, recognizing their contributions to Japan.
This could be a Journalist, Businessman, Congressman, Party President, Minister or Country President.
If you think that yourself, a friend or a colleague is deserving of this title, please send me a message with a short blurb about their life and contributions!

This week we honor KITA Ikki for his contributions to the military:
Kita Ikki was born and raised in Japan, has never had a residence anywhere else and strives to build up organizations and institutions that will contribute to the long-term strength of his beloved homeland.

He currently serves as a Congressman in the government of Japan and is Minister of Defense. He is an adherent of the Righteous Nation philosophy, dedicated to the defense of people's sovereignty and transparency in government. Thus, he strives to create a nation that is capable of defending all ideologies and ways of life, strongly rejecting totalitarianism in any form.

He has been deeply involved in politics. First as member of congress, then as Party President of the Imperial Sun Party. His main contribution has been the development of organizations to promote military strength, both as a soldier and general in the Japanese Imperial Army.

KITA has had this short summary of his biography added to the eJapan Portal on the eRepublik Wiki:

As this is a new initiative of the JIS, this is the first week this has been announced via this newspaper. The two previous winners were simply added to the Portal, and I am retroactively declaring them citizen of the week for the previous two weeks!
Week #1: Emperor Kokawayoshi Makoto
Week #2: President Minamoto Yoritomo
Week #3: Minister Kita Ikki
