Jasper Signa for Congress Pro Business, Pro Accountability

Day 1,067, 15:18 Published in USA USA by Jasper Signa

Friends, Supporters and Fellow Citizens,
My name is Jasper Signa and I am running for reelection as your congressman from the great state of Kentucky as a member of the Federalist Party.

If you remember from last month’s platform, I had two major goals. First, improve support to new citizens and second, help improve the business climate for American General Managers. The first goal was largely an executive branch issue with President Colin Lantrip, improving the Welcome Letter to provide new citizens with ways to more easily get involved in the country and launching Operation Monkey Business, which I supported after raising some concerns about exploitation. The second goal, despite a month of intense debate led by myself and Congressman Lord Krauser, was not accomplished.

I think I did a good job in congress earning the 2nd highest peer ranking out of new congressman and 13th overall, according to the Congressional Peer Review, and being active in the Immigration Enforcement Sub Committee which helps keep America safe from Political Take Overs.

If re-elected I will continue the fight on working to improve the Business Climate in the eUS and ensuring accountability that our tax income is being put to good use. Below is some specific proposals that I would like to have passed in the October.

Improve American Business Climate

My major argument was that the Business climate in the United States is terrible as growing wage inflation, low prices from foreign imports with lower cost structures was crippling the eUS economy American Business Owners provide the majority of tax revenue by providing jobs to citizens who then pay income taxes. While Operation Monkey Business has provided short term relief to Food and Grain producers, the artificial demand created by the program will not continue to keep prices profitable.

If given the choice between supporting an American company or a Foreign company the choice should be obvious. Why? Because the eUS doesn’t get a red cent from Foreign Companies that sell in the United States.

My opponents in Congress argued, well if we protected American Businesses from unfair trade practices, the price of goods for U.S Consumers would go up. Which I admit is a compelling argument especially when American Citizens already provide 23% of their income to the government. To help address these concerns I suggested two proposals to help alleviate their concerns.

Small Business Administration (SBA)
I proposed, this term, that congress work to improve the quality of American Domestic Companies, by creating an organization called the Small Business Administration (SBA) which would have the responsibility for educating first time American business owners, so that when they enter the market they have a better chance of succeeding. Besides helping retention by ensuring that new citizens interested in starting companies have the right information to succeed, it would also improve our tax base and make American consumers less reliant on foreign corporations to keep prices down. The SBA would be a department of the executive branch and would provide startup and in operation counseling for business owners operating in the United States. Successful counseling would also help make better use of our scarce labor pool by ensuring that companies are not created in markets where there is no demand.

Strategic Food Reserves
I also proposed a plan to build a Strategic Food Reserve, that would stockpile food and be available to the country at the President or Congress's request in the event of a major run on food during a national emergency or period of prolonged war. This would allow the U.S to maintain a price ceiling so America would not be at the mercy of foreign companies. While I understand that some of the military branches run companies and maintain a limited stockpile, the strategic reserve would be primarily for the citizen militas use that would be required during times of grave need.

When American companies compete, they at least compete on an equal footing, we have to pay the same for labor and raw materials, so increased domestic competition will not impact prices as much as foreign corporations that have a significantly lower cost structure. American corporations contribute a bulk of the tax revenue by providing jobs to workers who then pay income taxes to the Federal Government to fund our war efforts.

Since, neither of these proposals were able to come to a vote, I ask for your support to send me back to congress to follow through.

Accountability
According to the US Constitution Congress lone responsibility is to supervise the nation’s treasury with financial oversight of the Executive and Military Branches. While Congress wisely appointed a Comptroller General to make sure that money appropriated went to the appropriate departments, there is currently no congressional oversight of how effective the Executive or Military Branch Programs are.

Audit the Federal Government
I propose that the next congress undergo an exhaustive review of the Executive and Military Branches to answer the following questions.

What Organizations/ Programs do we have?
What Companies or assets are assigned to them if any?
What is their purpose?
How well are they doing their job?

While I understand that some of this information is Sensitive Information so it is reasonable that those programs needed to be kept secret for National Security should be maintained separately, the large majority of programs should be made available on the eUS Forums for citizens to review.

Once we have taken proper inventory of what assets are available we can reassess their usefulness and help fund those programs which are useful and improve or cut funding for those that aren’t.

These are three very large proposals which will require significant time to debate and carry through Congress. So these three topics will be my TOP priority if you re-elect me as your congressman.

If you are interested in supporting me in my fight to support American Business Owners and bring back accountability of our Federal Government.
