Jasper Ferguson for Kentucky

Day 545, 18:18 Published in USA Australia by Jasper Ferguson

Today, I am announcing my candidacy for Congressman of the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the June elections.

I have spent the last month reading through both the eRepublic and eUSA forums, familiarizing myself with both the mechanics and the politics of the game. After serious consideration, I believe that I have the ability and temperament to represent the people of the great Commonwealth of Kentucky in Congress and help the eUSA move forward in a new era of cross-party co-operation. It is essential to the success of our nation that we leave real world politics out of the discussion and deal only with the betterment of the eUSA.

I will not therefore spend my time and energy saying bad things about others. I find that approach fails to be helpful in any way towards advancing our common goals as a nation. Instead, I promise that I will always take the time to listen and respond to your concerns and questions. If elected, I will provide a weekly State of the State article, where I will keep you up to date with how I have voted on every issue before the Congress and provide you with my reasoning for each vote.

I believe that the Military and the security of the eUSA is the primary responsibility of the Congress and leadership of the country. Taxes in general should stay at current levels to provide a source of income to continue the war-games that have been very successful in raising the level of preparedness of our nation's defenses. I believe that this was on display during the recent failed attempt to invade Russia. Although the attack was not a success, it did show just how far our nation has come and that we should continue on the path of war-games in the future to further strengthen our soldiers.

If you have any questions, comments of suggestions, please feel free to message me and I will be happy to discuss them with you.

I humbly ask for your vote on May 25th and the honor of serving you in the eUSA Congress.
