Japanimal Farm
Imperial Sun Party
Japanimal Farm
A spectre is haunting eJapan - the spectre of City Party. All the Powers of old Japan have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre: Akki and JEC, eJapanese militarists and laissez faire businessmen.
Where is the party in opposition that has not been decried as PTOers by its opponents in power? Where the Opposition that has not hurled back the branding reproach of PTOer against the more advanced opposition parties, as well as against its reactionary adversaries?
The main characters in the novel
eJapan Dramatis Personae
-City Party - Former undisputed masters of eNorth Korea, most of their members moved en masse to eJapan after their country was destroyed by eRussia
-Old Major (Alfanasiy Drago) - Former leader of eNorth Korea, from its birth to its destruction, still proposes peace treaties from time to time. (yes I know it's for the exp., but it still reminds me of the end of the movie "Downfall" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkUzfAfwP1A) "...are the Russians so close??")
-Goku Jones, (former)Party President of Godzilla Party, his private organization bought a government company from his own government department and then dumped 990+ units of Q1 food on the market at an undercutting price, at least until this article came out, earning him the title "The Food Man"
-Lejina, Party President of "The Ronin," the party formerly known as the Black Dragon Party before take-over, a party ironically dedicated at first to the conquest of additional regions in eKorea.
-The Sheep, all the diehard Godzilla voters that one never sees anyway in the traditional eJapan places, like #eJapan IRC channel or the National Forums at Nipponblog.net. One wonders where they are organizing so well for all those coordinated votes...?
-Akki, the eJapanese businessman, who decided not to help the original eSouth Koreans in their time of need, and has companies in these orgs:

http://www.erepublik.com/en/organization/1506411
http://www.erepublik.com/en/organization/657892
http://www.erepublik.com/en/organization/779771
-The Theocrats, from international pariahs to now-being-considered for Sol membership. Well-played, did they win the Battle of the Windmill?
-"Boxer," the long-suffering two clickers, all those good eJapanese born and raised eJapan, but perhaps unaware of the greater forces at work in their eNation.
The original cover submission, rejected as not "Imperial Sunny" enough
"We have always been at war with the United States... But looking at our events list, I wonder have we always been at war with Indonesia?"
-eJapan in 1984
After passing through the tunnel, it was snow country.
And so the weather in the Northern Hemisphere grows colder, and in my ever-continuing desire to avoid being in "Snow Country," I have moved to Taiwan (in real life) to spend the winter. I will still have time for eRepublik, of course, between nights at the night market and endless Chinese-language tongue twisters to help me improve my pronunciation.
About the author: a great fan of literature, political satire, and especially George Orwell. From Kyoto, Japan, KITA Ikki is the party president of the Imperial Sun Party and member of congress from the Kanto region. His hope is that the government of eJapan will set an inspirational example for others to follow, and that elected officials will not use their positions for their own benefit, no matter what their political persuasion: "A well-run government that fairly represents all of the people will surely attract the most dedicated citizens from all over the world."
He hopes the readers will appreciate the references and have a great time playing eRep!
Please vote and comment "doubleplusgood!" (or "ungood" if you don't like it)

So I'm almost scared to ask where eSOS is in all this 🙂
(Y)
great article !
loving the references, 'specially to 1984 😉
Its not like the ISP has more than about 5% of its members regularly posting in the forums now is it Kita? Does that make the ISP a dastardly PTO group too?
Is the ISP full of "The Sheep, all the diehard [Imperial Sun Party] voters that one never sees anyway in the traditional eJapan places, like #eJapan IRC channel or the National Forums at Nipponblog.net. One wonders where they are organizing so well for all those coordinated votes...?"?
I thought we'd moved on from demonising the players that moved from eNK and I wouldn't have thought that you would be the one to bring it up again but I suppose elections are coming and dirty smear campaigns are how some would campaign eh? 😃
I'm new here but I like the way you write. Voted and subbed!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Anyone able to use literary analogies is a friend of mine. I'm on board.
I'm disappointed that you would engage in this kind of rhetoric, Kita Ikki. I had always sensed that you were above this sort of thing.
Great pictures and fun article, voted.
I echo Crawling Chaos' sentiments, and animal farm is horribly overrated IMO.
YAY 1984!
i'm not quite sure what this is about? whats the point of this?
Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
An interesting analogy, but a bit hard to swallow, since Goku is the worst Stalin imitation ever.
Good article, but look to your south...focus on eAustrailia. Think about how, BEST, to keep out invaders...armies...AND REAL PTO's!
Very clever, liking the references. (+)x2
*Sigh*Another pointless article.
Are you saying that the eSK are somehow entitled to Akki's money?
You can all rest assured that I will not be driven off the farm by Goku and I will keep on bringing awesome harvests.
Can't say I approve of smear campaigns, but I can't complain about being painted as the good guy.
Oink
ISP members are as inactive and useless on the forums and IRC as godzilla members.
And what distinguishes the "boxers" from the "sheep".
Both just 2 click all day and vote along party lines.....
One final note about the sheep, have you been to the eNK forums lately? they are FAR FAR more dead than eJapan
To those who accuse me of smear tactics and typical election season mudslinging, please understand that the greatest contribution of the Imperial Sun Party to eJapanese politics has not been its strong support of the military, but the promotion of transparency. That is, "who is doing what and why is that happening?"
@no1kevlin Trust in-game is a precious and fleeting commodity, earned through the free flow of information. When a new eJapanese citizen considers joining the Imperial Sun Party, they can read the debate about how the party chose a candidate to support in the Presidential Election here:
http://nipponblog.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=605" target="_blank">http://nipponblog.net/forum/viewtopic.ph[..]=605
Where can they read about the Godzilla Party and its decision-making process?
And not everyone will be on the national forums, of course, which is why, as ISP Party President, I regularly post updates such as this:
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/the-iron-must-flow-932330/1/20" target="_blank">http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/the-[..]1/20
or this:
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/imperial-sun-party-presidency-897803/1/20" target="_blank">http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/impe[..]1/20
So that everyone has a chance to see what we are doing and participate if they support it, or oppose us if they do not. This free flow of information helps everyone in eJapan make informed decisions, which is good for our eRepublik.
TAIWAN PRIDE \O/
I'm all about transparency, but I don't think that is what this is.
Wat, I just made a mistake.. I thought Minamoto wanted me to sell the food off :/
I sold 9 units at 0.5 JPY.
You want transparency KITA, you got it!
Right after I get off work . . .
Loved the article. Voted and subscribed.
wait, so you felt it necessary to have a discussion about an incumbent from your own party with broad national support?
Sounds like a good reason NOT to be in ISP.
Oh and your supposed "updates" as ISP president include your victory speech article and an update that has nothing to do with ISP at all, but rather broader government programs.
Sounds like you're really keeping people up to date on ISP >.>
Some statistics: In the past 25 days the number of articles about ISP by Kita Ikki: THREE
In the past 25 days the number of articles about Godzilla by Goku Jones: THREE
The Drago cannot be Old Major....the Drago cannot die.
I do enjoy the works of Orwell and find the analogy pretty amusing, but I gotta say I'm a bit saddened about my general (assuming I am actually in the JIA, I was told I was but I haven't had any weapon requisition filled during the war with the Theocrats, or any contact since then) slamming my race and party with the "eNK PTO" rhetoric that should have ended long ago...
This is satire, right? I think?
I doubt Kita-san means any idea of "PTO" to be taken seriously. It's more a spoof of how some of us long-time eJapanese reacted, near as I can tell.
My beautiful North Korea. What horrible things they've done to it.
MOAR PLZ! No seriously, get writing because I want to read this epic tale!
The mangled quotation at the beginning was straight out of Marx's Communist Manifesto: http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1848/communist-manifesto/ch01.htm" target="_blank">http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/wor[..].htm
I thought it appropriate as a satirical reference as long-time eJapanese will remember that my own early political activities were considered "PTO" by some, mostly the people who held power before. The former eNorth Koreans are eJapanese now, of that there is no doubt. The only reason it is mentioned at all is to contrast the actions of the old party with the new party. Is there a commitment to ideas and the new country rather than devotion to a few leaders at the top, or are they locked into old ways of thinking about governance?
It's not simply another "you PTOers!" article or I would not have posted it. At least not in reference to anyone but the Theocrats! (haha, read the first two lines of Communist Manifesto which are funny when you replace "communists" with "PTOers")
Ranger Nitzsche, I was on the eNorthKorea.net forums for a long time, since before you were born! They are dead and always were, although not as dead as they are now. I think what the article is hinting at is that there is another forum that you and no1kevlin apparently don't know about where the real decisions are made by the leaders of the Godzilla Party.
You cannot see the eNorth Korea election results now, but the aforementioned CITY PARTY candidates regularly had the same number of votes cast for each of them, six candidates to a region with six regions. How does that happen? They were not organizing those votes on any forum that I could read.
I am not joining the eJapan national forums because I don't want to be eJapanese. When I moved to eNorth Korea at the beginning of June, I was excited about the possibilty of a real independent eKorea, even if I was not part of the power structure. I am a team player. Even today, I volunteer at the state-run company for far less wages than I could earn with my manufacturing skill. But between the destruction at the hands of eRussia, the Theocratic idiots in eSK, and the abandonment of my country by my former "countrymen," my hopes are dashed.
"To those who accuse me of smear tactics and typical election season mudslinging, please understand that the greatest contribution of the Imperial Sun Party to eJapanese politics has not been its strong support of the military, but the promotion of transparency. That is, "who is doing what and why is that happening?"
I don't see how the smearing tactic and typical election season mudslinging has anything to do with what ISP accomplished in the past. I see no connection here.
If you are so transparent, can we all please see how the decision making process and voting process happens in ISP? or for the formulation of ISP program on that matter. I am very interested in seeing the "transparent" inner working of ISP.
I echo Akkis sentiments (me agreeing with Akki? what is the world coming to!) in asking why the boasts of transparency when the ISP makes quite clear that they have a private discussion area of their own on the eJapanese forums?
Whats sauce for the Goose is sauce for the Gander too you know!
I subscribed only so I could unsubscribe, babe.
Dear Defense Minister,
There are times when it is wise to discuss tactics and long term strategy quietly, so that your opponents are not able to counterattack as easily.
Baaaaaa
baaa
I come back and there next article hasn't been written yet?! What is this? Hurry hurry hurry!
A very minor reference to 1984 really... the blatant Animal Farm analogy is more to the point. Interesting, though I'm not sure I agree .
