Japan and the Future

Day 740, 11:54 Published in Japan USA by Dokomo

In the past 4 weeks I like to think that Japan has come a long ways. We have made our first steps into becoming a voice in the International community. We have navigated perils and hazards both foreign and domestic. And we are working hard to maintain what we have in this world. So I want to run down the list of accomplishments I feel have been achieved so far.

1: Successfully navigated the banking crisis. With a lot of hard work and generosity by the people of Japan and government we not only recouped our losses but have created a 500 gold surplus this month.

2: Reached out to allies abroad. I feel that with the collapse of PEACE, Japanese diplomats were able to tighten our friendship with the remaining nations. While we did not approve of the recent charter revision, there is another one coming up and we are eager to get to work making it fit for everyone.

3: Defended our allies in their times of need. Japanese forces have deployed so far this month to ensure the freedom of Austria, Malaysia, China, and of our own regions. This is a far sight more than any time in the past, showing that Japan is now ready to act on the world stage in righteous defense of other nation's territory and liberty.

4: Encouraged activity in cultural and government work. I am happy to say that I hear from my cabinet members every day on IRC now. Many of my ministers have performed well in recent times, notably Vorph and Aston Reynolds. I hope to see more people join us with energy and drive in the next term. Also, I want to announce Afanasiy Drago as our new MoFA. He will work on bringing new life to our Foreign Affairs team.

Now, my goals for the future of Japan.

1: Revamp the military system. After commanding our forces for the month, I feel we need a clear delineation between home bound troops and mobile ones. We also need to complete the JIA Order system Minamoto started and put it into active use. Lastly we need to work out a system of military depots so that we can equip our soldiers instantly even if KITA and I are not online.

2: Revamp the Ambassador system. Ambassdorship needs to require activity. Most Ambassadors need to be transmitting information about Japan to their hosts and relaying comments to us on how to improve relations. Most countries in this world do not need Ambassadors. We need to tighten the government up in this sector and focus on the nations that we need influence in.

3: Prepare for the new economic module. Japan's economy has never been healthy but we need to focus on ways to maintain our population in the country in order to sell more goods. We changed the tax rates to encourage Manufacturing and now we need to encourage consumption. They key to that is having active players buying guns and food to maximize exp and to keep larger numbers of players in the game.

As always, I welcome your feedback Japan.
