Introduction

The Irish Union Party would like to use this opportunity to express its plans for a better eIreland. As party president, I hope to show you why you should vote for the Irish Union Party for congress. Before I get into the issues I feel that I should introduce you to our party.

The Irish Union Party is full of members dedicated to helping to build a better country for all of us. I tell you this, none of us are in this for the good of anyone or anything except our great country. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and accountability in office. The Irish Union Party are a party that you can trust.

The Irish Union Party believe in a unified and united Ireland. An Ireland where all our citizens regardless of politics, personal gain or business interests, work together to make a better eIreland for all our citizens.

The Irish Union Party want to bring Democracy back into eIrish Politics. We feel that in a Democracy the people need to be kept informed and should have a large input into decisions since the basis of a democracy is not the president or the congress but the general public. We believe in a democracy, not an oligarchy run by a few influential politicians and businessmen, where the country is run by the people and for the people. An Ireland where everyone has a say.

Yours sincerely,
Igor Thunderbrow
Party President of the Irish Union Party

Politics

The Irish Union Party is dedicated to providing public representatives of the utmost integrity who are entirely accountable to the people of eIreland.

What makes the Irish Union Party unique among eIrish political parties is the vast range of political ideologies present among our members. Hardcore Socialists, Conservatives, Centrists, Republicans and Free-Staters are all to be found among our ranks. We are the only centrist party in eIreland today. Still we can discuss our ideas and come to a consensus that is best for the people of eIreland since it takes all the positives out of every party member's opinions and merges them together to make Irish Union Party Policy. This is great testement to our ability to work together for the good of all.

Our congressmen will be active and vote with your interests at heart. They will not be considering what they will get out of any proposal but rather; whether or not it will prove beneficial to the eIrish public. The Irish Union Party is the only party to have campaigned for a referendum for the eIrish accession to the ESA, the only party to push for a constitution to be instituted for Dáil Éireann and the only party to come out and speak up for our nationalist brethern in Northern Ireland, working hard to give them representation through campaigning to fund the founding of the United Ireland Party.

This term the Irish Union Party will continue to fight to get your voices, the voices of the eIrish public, heard. We will continue to publish our weekly "Week in Politics" to keep you up to date on what your congressmen are doing for you and we will continue to push for a constitution and for you Democratic rights to be upheld.

Economy

The Irish Union Party is dedicated to helping create a fair economy where everybody is able to live comfortably while having the freedom to pursue the entrepeneurial goals.

Our chief concern at the moment is the lack of infrastructure in eIreland. We have hospitals in only four of our regions despite having only one MPP. One of these, Cork and Kerry, is one of our most populated regions and most vulnerable to invasion. For the long term security of our nation we feel that efforts must be made towards building a hospital in this region and upgrading existing hospitals especially those on the West coast not defended by the MPP with Britain. In the future we would like to see defence systems build around the country but the priority has to be to hospitals.

We also feel that the Irish State Companies should be used to further this goal. The Irish Union Party wants to take the workers out of farming and manufacturing roles and into construction of hospitals and houses for the eIrish people. I donated the Housing company for the provision fo cheap houses to the eIrish people and I am disappointed that it has not been utilised to its full potential. The Irish Union Party would like to see a mortgage scheme implemented alongside the pushing of the Irish State Housing Company to ensure that all our citizens can afford to have a roof over their heads. To support this we would like to explore trade agreements with foreign companies to provide a cheap source of wood to supply these companies.

This term the Irish Union Party will fight for prudent Government spending that will reward the eIrish people with worthwhile dividends not just yet another state owned company lying idle after wasting so much public funds.

Society

The Irish Union Party believe in the equality of all and wish to promote unity between all eIrish. We believe that through working together we can achieve great things.

One of our priorities is to pass the Irish Constitution. We need a framework for the Dáil to work from with or without Admin approval.

The Irish Union Party believe that communication between public representatives and the general public is crucial in the running of the country. Too often public representatives shy away from engaging the public and do their own thing. Too often the people of eIreland are left in the dark. The Irish Union Party want to make this democratic deficit a thing of the past, a paragraph in the history books. We are committed to accountability and communication between government and the people.

To bring eIrish Politics closer to the ground and get it more involved with the people. The Irish Union Party endorses the government's idea of Regional Councils. However we want to see them actually serve a purpose. Not just add yet more bureaucracy to the eIrish political system. We want to see them take over from the Health Ministry localised gifting schemes, we want to see them operate state bond schemes to fund public works, we want to see them operate state loans and mortgages. The current proposal does nothing except set up new forum section for each region, which hardly requires more than the admin to take two seconds, and a load of bureaucratic nonsense. Pointless paperwork to disguise inaction and a lack of ideas. Vote Irish Union Party for sensible ideas that will work for the public good.

I also wish to reiterate that the Irish Union Party representatives are more than willing to help anyone who need it. If you ever have any questions then please do not hesitate to ask myself or any IUP official.

Military

The Irish Union Party and myself have long advocated an Alliance neutral stance. We believe that our best interests are served by remaining outside of either PEACE or ATLANTIS. It is our view that our military decisions and overall foreign policy should be our own choice and on a case by case basis rather than a loyalty to any alliance. Therefore we oppose membership of the ESA once it starts veering towards a military alliance.

I have been Minister of Defence for two terms now and have overseen the reformation of the Irish Defence Forces. The Irish Union Party believes in supporting our troops so that Ireland can be defended against any invader.

While we advocate eIrish "neutrality" we do not consider this an excuse for inaction. The Irish Union Party would like to see eIreland take an international role in peacekeeping and defending small nations against imperialism and tyranny. To this end we campaigned for eIrish Membership of the Israeli Foreign Legion pledging 30 troops if the small nation gets invaded by its imperialist neighbours.
