It's all a game.

The below is strictly my opinion, and probably the biggest rant I've written on here.

Canada is almost nonexistent, and we're down a good amount of states. We've gone through a betrayal, we've lost an ally to the forces of PEACE, and the situation shows no signs of improving. The war is on an international level, and we're still stuck on the defensive after over three weeks. It's all very sobering indeed. However, sobering or not, it's just a game.

We wake up in our native countries, whether that be Indonesia, Hungary, the USA, Canada, Spain, the UK, Russia, and so on. And in the end, we wind up sleeping not on ebeds, but actual beds in actual regions in actual countries. No e's in front of it. While the game can get pretty intense, it's simply just a game. In real life, many of the nations we're at war with on eRepublik are close allies of ours. In real life, the USA has had the fortune of not having a battle on its soil since the 19th century, unless you consider a few U-boats depth charged in USA waters to be a battle. In real life, Germany has one of the most powerful military forces in the world. Things are very different in the eWorld than in real life- and that's what makes the game fun.

Remember, behind every eCitizen is a living, breathing human with feelings. And whether that person may be from a PEACE nation, an EDEN nation, the eUSA or eCanada, or any neutral nations, they still deserve respect. A lack of understanding of the game mechanics does not make someone stupid, as many of us have a busy life outside of this game. And PEACE's invasion of other nations does not make it evil. We may have a life inside of this game, but PEACE has not starved an entire nation of living people, and PEACE has not gassed over 6,000,000 people. And yes, PEACE has not dropped nuclear weapons on two cities (though one could argue that dropping the bomb saved more lives than the ones who perished due to it).

Remember, eRepublik, as fun as it may be and as serious and somewhat realistic as it may get (I'm still trying to figure out how Washington borders Montana and how Connecticut borders New Jersey, but New York doesn't), is only a game. While it's fun to roleplay, that's all it ever should be, and everyone, EDEN, Fortis, PEACE, and neutrals alike, all deserve respect instead of pathetic trolling or declaring PEACE as evil.

Remember, taking the game too seriously takes the fun out of it.

This war, despite us losing it, has been the most fun I've ever had in this game.

And this concludes my rant for the next few weeks.
