Switzerland faces a more important threat than the difference between Milan and serban_b, and that is the very real potential for the PTO group led by Mony CRO to take this election.
Walther, serban, Penguin, myself and others-- all political allies and adversaries-- call on Swiss voters to vote for milanlazetic until he has an absolute win, then for serban_b if we can get him second place.

While my American readers may be interested in an update to my situation, this piece is targeted to the Swiss audience. But since I don't buy article votes I would appreciate some support to get this into the Top 5 in the Swiss media.
Just What Is My Role Here?
I've been in Switzerland for some time now, putting together a national army. For a ton of information and history on that, check out the S.A.F. Guardian. The latest chapter in that saga is that I have deactivated the Swiss Armed Forces pending long overdue proper authorization by Swiss Congress as a legitimate and permanent part of the Swiss government. Again, see the paper for details.
So.. am I coming, am I going, am I staying..?
Well, I'll tell you.. I'm not done in Switzerland. I've shown that there is an interest in having a national army, and that a non-partisan military could be formed. It's up to the next President to exercise influence on Congress to take the recently approved Constitution to a popular vote and get it accepted by the Swiss people.
But this is Switzerland, so there has to be a plot twist, right?

I hear Clifford Burns has been talking trash about me, again.. still.. Nice to know he considers me enough of a threat to his security, to try to undermine my efforts to help Switzerland free herself of his corrupt oppression.
So now Clifford is saying that once his bought and paid for candidate is President, a new Army will be formed and he'll be choosing its Commander-- and it won't be me.
Well, NEWS FLASH, Clifford, I don't intend to lead the new Swiss Army no matter who becomes President.
I seriously doubt you and your Puppet Patrol can, or are interested in, developing a non-partisan Army which will represent the whole of the nation. If anything, I see you orchestrating the creation of private militia which you'll try to pass off as a national army, comprised of your separatist German-language isolationists, as another way to siphon off Switzerland's assets-- in other words, business as usual for Burns and Buddies.
So just what the heck is Custer up to next?
I'll be voting for serban_b for President on the 5th.

Contrary to the political slander to the contrary, it's written in fairly understandable English.
Come the 15th I'll be helping to retake one of the PTO'd Parties.
Congressional elections on the 25th... might just run for Swiss Congress.

Srog Norsktag, only Swiss citizens can join political parties.. are all the Congressmen going to grant citizenships to my American friends? just how much influence do you think I have, here or in the US? how about this-- why the big fear of a few Americans coming to play Swiss, I don't see any big outrage about the many, many players coming into Switzerland from Germany and a host of other countries.
Where did you come from, and who granted your citizenship, and what's your purpose for being here? Those questions can, and should, be asked of a lot of players here.

I deactivated the Army because I felt two months was enough time for Congress to act to make it a legitimate part of the government, and I'm done working hard to do my job while they don't do theirs. The Army has to be a permanent part of the government, so it is not dissolved by one President and reactivated by another. I came here to develop a national army, not a private militia.
And.. when the Army does come back, I don't want to be in charge. I can be a soldier, I can be an advisor, but I don't want to be the Commander of the Army-- I never intended it to become a full time permanent position for me, my job was to get the Army started.

GAC: Actually I moved to Switzerland in RL this fall, few months after that I thought it would be nice to move in eRep as well. And so I did.
I honestly believe in eSwiss neutrality, even in eRep, so I asked one of the SNP guys, out of pure conviction. I asked Migrant (then an SNP congressman) to give me citizenship, and so he did.
I'm still not OK with eSwiss political turmoil, so that's why I'm not a member of any of the parties yet. I intend to invest some of my gold and time in eSwitzerland, as soon as I get some free time in RL.

As for you, out of your 497 friends surely there's enough for a PTO party (about 70). And you can always influence your ex subordinates from the US army. As for the citizenships, I'm quite positive that proEDEN congressmen (e.g. SLP) will help you out. That would make them stronger as well. So don't act so innocent.
And by mentioning the "fear of Americans" you're admitting that you'll have some guys from the States over to help you in your PTO escapades.
It's not just you. I don't like any of the PTOers, wherever they come from, but you're making so much fuss how eSwiss is in jeopardy of PTO, and you're preparing one as well.
I liked your idea of a neutral Army, but it turn's out that it's going to be just another double institution for politicians to fight about.

that Friends list has grown over 21 months of active game play, in military and politics and business and media. it's not a list of personal minions who I direct, to move and vote and play as I need for my benefit.
as an example, in my third run for US Congress (August 2010, Alabama) I found myself in IRC in the final hours of the game day, scrambling for votes like any other candidate, lucky to pull off a three-vote win over my opponent. begging for eight votes is hardly holding influence over the 300+ man Army I once commanded.
you and others seem bent on fomenting EDEN-fear. you have no idea what the relationship is between Switzerland and EDEN, or my own. I doubt any Swiss Congressmen, of any members of any Swiss political Party, have any EDEN connections and certainly no influence.

GAC: You 'admitted to' having "a few Americans" over in the same comment in which you confirmed that you're "helping" in a PTO, that's enough for me. Whether you're taking smth over for yourself or for someone else is beside the point. Persuading people who are already living here is OK, but moving people over for TO is not, IMO.
And it does not depend on the scale. I might have overestimated the loyalty of your former army comrades, but my past experiences in other countries have made me a bit paranoid when paramilitary/army officers start turning to politics.
I'm not worried 'cause of EDEN's (or PANAM's or whatever you call it now) influence in eSwiss, I'm worried because of ex-Phoenix's (or whatever it's going to be called in the future) as well! That's what you call neutrality I guess. I know how puny and insignificant eSwitzerland is to the "big players", but it seems to me that their influence (even that smallest amount that got invested in eSwiss) tore this country apart! I'm not implying that exEDEN or exPhoenix are actively sponsoring or promoting eSwiss congressmen, but those congressmen have their own foreign-policies which are inclined to one direction or the other.
And I'm not on any kind of mission, surely not an "character assassination" attempt. I don't have anything against you personally, I'm just stating my own opinion, that has less to do with George Armstrong Custer and more with overall political situation here.

Two Parties were taken over by people who are not normal members of those parties, they were purposeful actions to keep a certain group of players from running for Congress. I'll be working with those displaced Swiss citizens to recover control of one of those Parties.

For crying out loud, there isn't an American PTO, there were other RL american like myself, but at the time I lived in eSwitzerland, I had never lived in and had no connection to the eUS...And there was only Penguin and I for the most of the time....Not exactly a PTO

@Srog Norsktag: Custer isn't a PTOer and will never be one PTOer. On the neutrality, it's a question of points of view. I don't think that the RL situation is comparable with the IG's. I think that a majority of people over the eWorld knows exactly that eRep lives from wars, the whole economy lives from wars... The MPPs we had over the two last monthes have shown and proven this fact. Our population began to grow at a bigger rate when we began fighting in an MPP too, this is correlated.. The military part is indispensable.
Also I'm not sure that RL Switzerland is as neutral as it was in the sense of the origin of this conception in the 18th century.

I'm not suggesting a PTO or any such method of control but having a working military (i guess until it is accepted it would count as a Militia) that does the eSwiss proud and that legitimizes the concept of a NON-partisan military for all members of eSwitzerland.

Also, there is no American PTO effort on Switzerland. Sure quite a few of us are originally from there, or are IRL (Or both!), but we are now Swiss, the same as the next guy.

PPL, you can't blame me for being suspicious. There's a lot of Americans as is in eSwitzerland and that's a fact. eSwiss is a popular PTO site 'cause of low population of RL Swiss. Easy money. So it does not necessarily need to be backed up by any government or an alliance. You just need to motivate a not so large group of people.
You can call it paranoia, you can call it raising awareness, but eSwitzerland just got PTOed by eCroats (not that it makes any difference where the PTOers came from).
there are not a lot of Americans in Switzerland.
there are a lot of Germans, some French, a lot of recent Serbs, and obviously there has been a ton of Croatian traffic here.
Switzerland has a lot to worry about, but it isn't a few Americans who come here to escape the political stupidity back home or just like to play for the underdog.
such isolationist thinking, and outright rudeness, will put off people who come here to help and just encourage those who come here to cause trouble.
