__Issue 1 - eRepublik Day 711

Welcome to the first issue of The eAmerican Observer. This publication is intended to both inform and entertain. Some of the articles will be hard news or serious editorial commentary. Others will be more humorous. But everything that is published will strive to be the highest quality journalism available in eRepublik. Nobody is safe from our cutting criticism and scrutiny. We will print it as we see it and let the readers decide for themselves. Hopefully you will enjoy reading The eAmerican Observer enough to vote it up and subscribe. That is our ultimate goal. We will not bore you with yet another scheme to promote our publication. Instead, we will let the quality of our product speak for us.

Reunion Day
We have recently witnessed one of the most momentous days in the history of eRepublik. The efforts of the early leadership of the eUSA and her allies were, in retrospect, misguided. Foreign adventures and attempts to occupy the lands of other nations created enemies and forged an alliance against eAmerica. Eventually these enemies responded by invading. Since that time, our country has spent its wealth and sweat in efforts to reunify the eUSA. Little did we know that eRepublik day 710, the day we celebrated our reunion, would be shared by eCanada and eAustralia as well.

A rare photo of the early leadership of the eUSA in a critical strategy meeting.

The efforts of the day were sweeping as the eUSA conquered Alaska, eCanada took Nunavut, and eAustralia regained their western region. It was three strikes and your out for PEACE. Out of eUSA, out of eCanada, and out of eAustralia. We should always recognize and honor the efforts and sacrifice of the brave men and women who struggle for the cause of freedom. Many brave soldiers from around the globe fought alongside the eUSA to achieve this victory. Much diligent preparation went into the efforts to regain lost ground.

Meanwhile the eUSA forces also gathered. A blitz of patriotic media coverage led by Ted Nugent stirred up national emotion and eAmerica responded. The eAmerican forces showed up for the battle ready to fight for Alaska. It was a very impressive show of eAmerican unity and coordination.

The eAmericans citizens grabbed their hunting rifles and joined the battle.

Meanwhile on the other side of the world, the eAussies fought to regain control of Western Australia. After painstaking planning and preparation, the eAustralian resistance launched their assault on the occupying eIndonesian forces. When the smoke cleared, the eAustralians had regained their native lands.

When all fighting was done, it was a joyous day for the forces of the Brolliance/Eden. Three nations will remember this day as their reunification day. After long battles and stinging defeats, the forces of eUSA, eCanada, and eAustralia can hold their heads high with pride and their nations can rejoice.

The eCanadians celebrate their victory over PEACE.

Only time can tell how PEACE will react to this stinging defeat. Clearly the strength of PEACE is gradually falling behind that of the eUSA and her allies. The population of the eUSA is much younger and larger than any PEACE nation. The strength of eAmerica will only grow. Meanwhile we can thank the nations of PEACE for an interesting time and say good game.

The nation of eCanada extends to PEACE this parting gift.

There will be a lasting impact upon the world of eRepublik from this war. Both enemies and friends have been made. The path to the future is not clear. But a firm resolve in the face of the enemy shall always see us through. The eUSA and eCanada will remain firm friends and allies. For the forces of the Brolliance/Eden countries the future is brighter today. Because this is one day when the sun is setting in the east, and the forces of PEACE are on the retreat.
