Imperial Sun Party Supports Oraizan for Country President
The Imperial Sun Party has elected to support Oraizan in the national presidential election. The following votes were cast:
Walorm 3
Dokomo 3
Oraizan 10

The vote thread in the national forum can be found here:

I hope that future votes and discussion will include even more participation from our party members!

The support for Oraizan or any presidential candidate indicates the trust of the party and its members. It is my hope as party president that Oraizan will faithfully carry out the duties of the office with eJapan foremost on the list of priorities. Many critics of President Minamoto have citied "weak diplomatic efforts" as the bane of our foreign policy. If elected, the Imperial Sun Party hopes that Oraizan and her cabinet appointees will make progress on eJapan's diplomatic standing. Hopefully organizations like Sol can be convinced of the Righteous Nation philosophy that drives our nation and begin to act accordingly.

Deciding who to support was one of the more difficult decisions I have made in eRepublik, the most difficult being the discussion and vote regarding the Kyushu Incident. Naturally, it is the hope of all eJapanese that such a decision never be made again, and all eyes will be on the new government. Both major candidates receiving votes (Walorm dropped out), Dokomo and Oraizan, have strengths that they will bring to eJapan as the primary executive in the nation. Ideally the cabinets they have selected will balance out whatever weaknesses they might have.

No matter who is elected, the Imperial Sun Party delegation in congress will be watching and help guide eJapan in a positive direction. That our party now supports a candidate that it previously opposed in the past two elections is the sign of a healthy democratic spirit, and I believe that many in the party will vote for the candidate they feel is best, regardless of political affiliation or party support. I do encourage all voters to read the information available in the media and make your voting decision accordingly. Dokomo has ran some excellent position articles, Oraizan will release another campaign statement, and Faeyas' excellent interviews in her newspaper, Faery Ink, will be published as well.

If you are interested in joining a political party that actively debates issues and promotes programs that help eJapan grow, please consider joining the Imperial Sun Party. Contact me for more information!
