Is the Canadian Market inflated or something?
emilio sanchez
I've noticed that when I put my CV on the job list. That there are loads and loads of other citizens that are waiting for a job. So my question is what is the point to the game when all I can do is train for the military and perfect my 'abs' and 'muscles'... Which I will probably never use because it doesn't look like Canada is going to war anytime soon. So how can people advance in the game when they can't even get started because there is no jobs. Plus nobody can create a job because you need gold to do so and only a few have gold or enough gold to do anything. We need more people to create jobs in select areas that need it.
Yes we also need more people to join. But no matter how many people join they wont stay for any amount of time because they can't get anywhere and they'll get tired of it. It would be nice if the job market were more open to more businesses.
Didn't mean to sound mean, but some help would be great.
Thanks for reading our first pointless article. We wish to thank nobody for making this paper possible. Have a great day!

Too much supply, not enough demand.
Try messaging some of the company owners. You\'ll usually get a job offer within a day.
Emilio thats exactly what I planned to try and help eliminate if I was elected. Unfortunately I lost, but Tantis is open to new and ideas and perhaps he will listen to reason. Some people did not approve of my proposals because they already hold all the power and don\'t really care about new members, but they are few and we are many.
Message company owners. Almost always works, no matter what your skill. Certainly works better than unintelligably complaining in newspapers. On that note, thank you for at least sounding intelligent.
The Canadian market has to acclimatize to the increase in population. 10 days ago the population was hitting 500, and now its already hitting 660. All these new citizens are searching for jobs at the same time. Competition is tough. Until the market can steadily include all the new citizens we\'re going to see a high rate of unemployment.
Augustus, no one in the congress will say we don\'t need government intervention for a situation like this. Please do not act as if your the lone one suggesting proposals. Your not the first one to put forward plans for the economy.
@Nefarious: Well I\'m not sure I am looking at the right Congress, but I am pretty sure I am the only one who has forwarded any kind of legislation/proposals other than to lower taxes. Will lower taxes hire the unemployed? It may provide business owners more money, but who is forcing them to employ more people? I credit President Sutler with trying to do something about unemployment, but he is not in Congress and you are. Let me see you, any member of your party, or any other member of Congress ACTUALLY introduce some sort of solution in Congress and I will acknowledge it. Until that time we will be working on just such legislation, lets hope we can push it through the slow, corrupt, and inefficient legislative process Canada currently has. Unless of course Congress has to deal with the pressing issues of lowering the tax on golf courses or doubling the seagull population in Halifax this week....
Really Augustus? When did you put forward any sort of economic legislation? I\'m sorry if you feel that democracy is a slow game, but you can\'t just push threw whatever you want, just because YOU think its going to help. The tax legislation is important, consumers will save money now that the VAT tax is being reduced.
One thing at a time. Politics does not have to be a competition, and every time you feel it necessary to act as if your constituents are lazy and inactive, I\'m more inclined to take everything you say with a grain of salt. We are here to work together, not against each other.
Let\'s face it, probably about 50% of our workers are under a 3 skill level, which already rules out any Q3/Q4 companies hiring them.
If there\'s too many Q1 workers, then in 5 days they are Q2. I\'d suggest our Q2 companies start poaching these workers to allow room for more Q1 workers.
Also, many of those on the CV list are inactive. They join the game, train once, join either CSD or Norsefire, and post their CV, never to return.
@Nefarious: I believe I just specifically said I hadn\'t presented any economic legislation but that we are working on some as I speak. Seeing as not one piece of legislation that was submitted by myself more than a week ago has yet to go to vote (at no fault of my own) I will not hold my breath on any new economic legislation seeing the light of day.
And I have not once called my constituents lazy or inactive. I am in contact every day with my constituents (the people), and they are passing their many grievances and complaints on to me. I am merely amplifying them and passing them on to you. I am sorry it displeases you that my response to the people is not, \"I\'m doing my best so leave me alone\". If yesterdays election has proven one thing its that people are sick and tired of business as usual. I have been around just a little less than two weeks and I already have the confidence of half this country\'s ruling party. The people are receptive to what I have to say because I am receptive to what they have to say. What we are saying is that we demand progress over stagnation and openness over cronyism. And I will continue to say it until you are having nightmares about me.
Excuse me Augustus but have you read what you say in your articles? Half the time it has something to do with how congress is either slow or bureaucratic or against the people etc, etc. Just read your comment above my first. Full of egotism. Every time its about how we don\'t do or did do something wrong. You think we\'ve done nothing about eIreland for example, but the cabinet has been discussing it since the start of the month.
...and allow me to give you an alternative perspective as to why people voted for you: the population is growing with new impressionable members. And most of your platform involves fiery, agreeable rhetoric instead of core rational underlinings. I mean for gods sakes you scared half the nation to death by proposing that Victor was trying to take over Canada politically. Fear certainly gets votes here and there. So does blaming others.
And now look at me. When I started my first Congressional term in July I stated in my first newspaper article saying that we are suppose to work together, that politics and government is about unity instead of competition. And now I\'m going after you.
@Nefarious: First, constituents means those I represent. You are not one of my constituents, you are one of my colleagues. And lets make clear that I have no responsibility to you, my colleague, only to them, my constituents. I am sorry if you feel I am attacking you and others in Congress as slow or bureaucratic, but unfortunately you are both slow AND bureaucratic. Now correct me if I am wrong but if it walks like a dog, and it talks like a dog, is it not a dog? Its excellent that you gentlemen are \"talking\" about Ireland, but I am pretty sure taking a lot of time discussing something, and setting up committees with unreasonable one month timelines qualify as SLOW AND BUREAUCRATIC. You just gave me a prime example! Thank You.
We will forgo the whole lecture on Petrescu and how today a Swedish newspaper provided explicit evidence of how he is stealing from the Irish economy to pay and arm his men. As for your alternative perspective, lets review what you just sai😛 only new people vote for me, who is also a new person, because they are stupid and naive, as I am since I am also new. Well thank you Nefarious, you have just justified everything I have been preaching about the unresponsive establishment. Straight from your mouth to our ears: Anyone who hasn\'t been in the game as long as Nefarious is both naive and stupid. Is this the official policy of the CSD or just your personal ideology?
All your talk of \"unity\" and \"cooperation\" has created a legislative body that gets little done very slowly because there is no one in it who will disagree with anyone else except me. There is a reason there is supposed to be an official opposition! If there is no dissenting voice and there is no one greasing the gears with accountability then you get exactly what we have now: 1) groupthink, 2) malaise, 3) a lack of dynamism. Lucky for you I am here to save you, whether you like it or not.
Usually debates are good and all but this is turning more into a fight than anything you both bring up valid points but should cut it down a notch just a bit. Don\'t want to see world war 3 break out.
Well at least a world war would create some jobs, and make people a bit of money 😉
Would it be better to move to another country that has more jobs etc. Then chances of getting a job would be better. Then when the economy gets better move back?
I also remember when I first joined it said something like... Erepublik only allows users to join when your country/ economy will need more citizens. So why would they let more people join when the market clearly does not need more citizens at the moment.
