Is it too early to run for Congress???

Day 4,083, 00:24 Published in USA USA by CGMK

Today marks two weeks since I started playing this game. I was recommended to run for Congress. I said sure, why not? There are no penalties for doing so and from what I can see so far, the USA isn’t doing very well so stepping on to fill an otherwise empty spot seems like the right idea. It seems like a step in the right direction considering I want to be president one day. Am I the right candidate to run for Congress at this point? I don't think so. As I said, I have been here two weeks, and I just I became an adult only a few days ago. All I know is that the USA players need to stand up and help each other if we are ever going to take the states back. I cannot tell you how this is going to be accomplished, I cannot tell you how me being a member of Congress is going to help, and I will also tell you not to vote for me, instead give the vote to a player that is more experienced with politics and has a plan for taxes and other political stuff because I have no clue whatsoever.

But…. What I will tell you is this: If you are a USA citizen and have two gold available then you should start a newspaper. Come up with an original name and a logo. Make sure you follow the guidelines and don't use anything offensive that can get you in trouble. Once you have a newspaper, create an article. Again don't publish anything that can get you in trouble. Share that article with friends, military unit, political party and say "comment, vote, subscribe and send me a friend request". This should get you:
Create newspaper mission: 100 currency.
Junior journalist mission (25 comments): 1 gold.
The more, the merrier (100 friends): bazookas
Media mogul medal (1000 subscribers): 5 gold

With the exception of the player creating the newspaper, there is no cost for others to add, vote, comment and subscribe. At the time this article was written we have 3,855 active USA citizens. If we cannot get each an every one of those citizens to earn these rewards when it doesn't cost anyone anything, then there isn't any hope for the USA. I have personally witnessed how some of the bigger players help the new players by endorsing articles and giving support. I do hope that this is nothing new and is not just happening within my party. As USA citizens we should work together regardless of military unit or political party affiliation, especially when all it takes is a few clicks of your mouse.

Sorry for the long read, this was meant to be a short announcement about me running for Congress. Unfortunately, I got inspired, and it turned into so much more. Remember don't vote for me, just help a fellow citizen out. If we all do that, we will have no problem working together to take back what is ours.
