Irelands Worldly View
KarlKorne
Hello, I would like to introduce you to the new paper known as "Ireland's Back Door Times", The goal of the paper is to broadcast Ireland's status of the world, Where it stand militarily, Politically or Economically. It is my goal to bring out the truth of Ireland, Ranging from our ups and downs. The pride of a nation. A small nation that is involved in battles, political statures and economic status.
The start of the paper will be starting as the worldly view of Ireland. Ireland is ranked 35 among world powers and other country's, Why is Ireland 35?. I blame the leadership, poor investments, And fighting the wars of other nations. A wise nation, One of greatness would have leadership that isn't about false ideals of freedom, rights or equality for all of Ireland.
Ireland is a country of surrounded nations. Ireland is currently in between that of many nations, Why do we take sides in wars. When the smartest move would be to keep Ireland neutral, Pull ourselves into conservation, Build our infrastructure, Starting with production. Ireland needs to start adding a program for struggling Irish business. Find a way to support the smaller companies, Give them something to help them increase productivity, Which in the end will increase Irelands Stature. Ireland is wasting its resources by fighting wars not of our own, Investing in programs that do not help the overall irish.
The congress needs to step up and start investing in the country, Not the external portions, We the Irish need to build ourselves up more internally, As for me, I am running for a political party leadership, My party looks like it dead, I desire to revive it and bring Ireland back to where it should be.

Good luck
I will do my best to do my part to bring Irelands best interest forward, And I appreciate any and all critiqing, criticism, As it may help me improve.
I applaud your intentions in trying to better the nation, especially from such a new player.
However I must disagree with you on some points.
Before you joined the game, Ireland was neutral for ages. It did not help us to get any better.
Wars allow players to rank up, increasing the damage they will be able to deal in any potential future wars for the defence of the nation.
While neutrality could prevent such wars, neutrality is boring. In the past we lost many players to other countries, as they wanted to take part in wars.
I myself moved to America during World War 3, and moved to London during the EDEN invasion (prior to the battle for NI, and the breakdown in relations between the UK and Ireland.) but to name a few wars I left the country for.
Also, war uses up guns. These guns can be produced in Irish factories. Increased consumption = more industry.
War is good for the nation.
Again though, kudos on the effort. It's rare that a player as new as yourself writes a newspaper article.
Best of Luck.

I agree that war ,at least a training war, is needed as people will seriously consider moving abroad if there is not any war everyday.
Warfare also leads to mobilization and babyboom in some cases. But with this population, it is unwise to rely solely on wargames.
Ireland needs an economical shift, and there are two ways in general.
First, in order to increase productivity we will have or bring high skilled workers. This is a slow pace progress.
Or we have to create some off-game organizations like ERX (eRepublic Stock Exchange) or t'jelle Bank.
We have to do what eUS is doing, specialization in an area preferably having no competition at all.
2 Days old and you feel ready to criticise a government? Not even mentioning the fact, a government that's been re - elected for several times? Paragraph number 3 has some serious flaws in it, and I'm not even talking society - wise, but purely game mechanical.
I've got to say, I applaud your guts. But do spend more time into getting to know the game and Ireland a bit more before you make such outings, sir.
Welcome 😉
Cheers

wouldn't criticise a Government if you are 2 days old because you are only new so I would advise you get involved more in the game before you can release a good criticise against the Government of course we have free speech and use it.
I am against being Neutral because it never really helped Ireland in the game made our Industrys fall big time so once we got involved in world wars our Markets have been doing well but now the economics aren't using their heads so I expect Nogin and Moomoohead (Finance Ministers) to solve our problems.
As Nith said getting more involved will help you improve your game knowledge 🙂
Also welcome.
So could you perhaps tell us how the population of eIreland feels about their Bro's in eJapan attacking the last neutral in the region?
I like that your trying to crticize the government buut your only two days old and you need to learn more deeply on how eIreland runned and why it takes sides with the brollance,I learned through experenice and the reason why we take part in wars is because we like to keep our counrty strong and activate and being in the Dail is hard at first since you dont know what rarly to do so i say just get use to the way things and run.
Welcome and great article!
Good luck for when you do become PP of ISD!
