Introducing Vasili Zaytsev

Day 1,530, 12:01 Published in Philippines Philippines by Slothen
Hey there. It has been quite a while from my last rant, so I decided to break this media silence that has prolonged to rather awkward lenghts. But this time I intend to do it by writing something casual. In fact, my last post in fact took place on day 741, so this break wasn't even of the shortest sort. Actually, it might be even safe to assume most of my old readers are dead already.

What should I write about then? A logical mind might suggest of some sort of a come-back article which would reintroduce the writer to the lost audience. But since I am far too boring person to write about, I am going to use this space to introduce someone else in my stead. Someone with a more interesting personality, that is...

The person we have on spotlight today is none else than venerable Vasili Zaytsev, a fresh ePhilippine citizen and the previous president of the Revolutionary Socialist Party. Vasili is former eTurkish citizen who decided a while back to take leave from eTurkey and move his party commune to ePhilippines in hopes to improve its socialist spirit and enrich the community. So far we have observed quite a convincing proof his party's power, with revolutionary socialists showing a quick rise in recent congress elections and claiming over 40% of seats. Not bad for a newcomer. Nevertheless, the RSP stands as the largest party in the ePhilippines, with more than 40 members waving their flag. But what kind of figure used to stand behind this powerful a party?

A quick look to Vasili's profile page reveals he is a decent soldier with a little more than 4,000 strength and bunch of medals. He is also chief editor in a rather successful newspaper and obsessive socialist, just what one might expect from a president of a far-leftist party. He owns two Congress medals, apparently awarded in eTurkey, and the title of Society Builder. And this only begins the story...

In irc Vasili Zaytsev appear very friendly figure. Considerate and polite, always willing to share his thoughts in socialistic politics. I would recommend anyone poke this man for a good chat.

Besides, who could find anything bad to say about this person when his profile picture looks like this. This picture alone would have earned my vote in the past elections, if only I had not been too busy voting myself.

On a side note, a few of you might have already noticed that Vasili's name was borrowed from a historical charater who made great influence in Soviet spirit during the World War II; one of the most succesful snipers of all time, one of the most hyped single soldiers in Soviet propaganda. Time will show whether this former eTurkish is only about hype, or whether are going to see more about him later.

But what are your thoughts? Could a socialist movement prevail in the ePhilippines? Leave your opinion in the comments section below.
