Interviews: Ronald Gipper Reagan

Today, I’ve got the honor to publish a short –but pretty intense- interview, made few days ago, with one of the greatest characters of eRepublik history, and particularly the eAmerican one: Ronald Gipper Reagan. I'd like to thank his kindness and attention, so necessary in this game, so important. Take your seats and enjoy this five answers, firstly in English, the original version, and then in Catalan, translated by me.

Avui tinc l’honor de publicar una curta –però intensa- entrevista, feta fa pocs dies, a un dels grans personatges de la història d’eRepublik, i particularment de l’eAmericana: Ronald Gipper Reagan. M'agradaria agraïr-li les seves bones maneres i la seva atenció, tan necessària en aquest joc, tan important. Seieu i disfruteu aquestes cinc respostes, primer en anglès, la versió original, i després en català, traduït per mi.

1-For the readers that may not know you, who is Ronald Gipper Reagan and what represents? What was AFA?

I am someone who has been on this "game" for almost five years now (terrifyingly). I suppose I've been sort of a leadership figure for the disenfranchised peoples of the eWorld, and various oppressed groups. I have always seen myself as someone who wants to give a voice to people who are not heard like they should be. Well, I would not speak of AFA in past tenths. It is still very much alive, although not what it once was. The AFA was/is an organization that sought to unify a wide array of eAmericans in defense of the principles of our country and in defiance of tyranny. It was founded essentially as a party for all those mistreated by the corrupt establishment elites of the eUSA to unite together as one. I am proud to say we made them waste many hours in their hate-fueled campaign to bring us down. Just like you don't know the moment Jesus will return, same goes for the AFA. 😉

2-What is the situation of the eUSA right now, according to you?

The eUSA like much of eRepublik is clearly in a state of decline. However, the madness of those who do control the country knows no bounds. Now they turn against Canada because they had the wisdom to ally a great and honorable nation such as Serbia, and are even turning against our longtime French allies. Basically if you don't walk lockstep with whatever the powers that be want, they will do their best to stomp on you. Domestically the political changes have made it nearly impossible for any change in the status quo barring a baby boom or a new mechanical change.

3-What do you think about the division of the eWorld created between Sirius and Asteria?

Firstly, I want to know who things of these extremely queer names. They seem to get worse as time goes on. I haven't been following it too much to be honest with you, but I think it is not as exciting as it used to be.

4-What do you know about eEgypt? And about our conquerors, the Greeks?

Well, from my understanding the Croatians used to control eEgypt too. It's tough when very few real life citizens play to keep a country safe from takeover. When it comes to Greeks it is either hit or miss. Some of them are really great patriotic people, and others are part of the reason why western civilization is declining (like other countries). So I think it depends on the group you are dealing with and how reasonable or unreasonable they may be.

5-Which do you think is the way eEgypt should choose to be recognized in this eWorld, pro-Asteria or pro-Sirius?

That's tough to say. I have friends in both alliances, but I think we should all go with my New Roman Empire idea. It would be SO much cooler. 🙂

1-Per als lectors que el puguin no conèixer, qui és Ronald Gipper Reagan i que representa? Què era l’AFA?

Sóc algú que ha estat en aquest “joc” des de fa quasi cinc anys. Suposo que he sigut una mena de líder per a la gent privada dels seus drets a l’eMón, i grups oprimits varis. Sempre m’he vist com algú que vol donar veu a la gent que no són escoltats com haurien de ser-ho. Recomano mirar aquest curt documental si voleu saber dels meus orígens. http://youtu.be/dCdpMatUfWc

Bé, no parlaré de l’AFA en passat. Encara és viva, encara que no com ho va arribar a estar. AFA era/és una organització que intentava unificar els eAmericans en defensa dels principis del nostre país oposant-nos a la tirania. Va ser fundat essencialment com a partit per tots aquells maltractats per a les elits establertes i corruptes dels eUSA per a unir-los. Estic orgullós de dir que els vam fer gastar hores i hores de pensar en la seva campanya d’odi per a destruïr-nos. De la mateixa manera que no se sap quan Jesús tornarà, el mateix va per l’AFA. 😉

2-Quina és la situació ara mateix dels eUSA, segons vostè?

Els eUSA, com molts dels països de l’eRepublik, està en un estat de declivi. De totes maneres, la bogeria dels qui controlen el país no té límits. Ara van en contra de Canadà perquè aquests tenen com a aliat la gran i honorable nació de Sèrbia, i fins i tot estant lluitant contra els nostres aliats tradicionals, com França. Bàsicament, si no vols caminar per on els poders del país volen, faran el possible per a que ensopeguis. En l’àmbit nacional els canvis polítics han fet quasi impossible cap canvi en l’status quo excepte si vinguessin baby booms o una nova mecànica del joc.

3-Què en pensa dela divisió creada a l’eMón entre Sirius i Asteria?

Primer de tot, m’agradaria saber qui pensa aquests noms tan extremadament marietes. Sembla que van de mal en pitjor. No ho he estat seguint massa últimament, si sóc sincer, però penso que no és tan emocionant com solia ser-ho.

4-Que sap d’eEgipte? I dels nostres conqueridors, els grecs?

Bé, pel que jo sé els croats solien controlar eEgipte també. És dur quan tan pocs ciutadans reals d’un país juguen per a mantenir el territori estalvi de TOs. Quan parlem de grecs, la cosa es torna imprevisible. Alguns d’ells són molt patriòtics, i altres són part de la raó per la qual la civilització occidental està en declivi (com en altres països). Així, penso que depèn del grup amb el que et trobis poden ser molt bons o molt dolents.

5-Quina pensa que és la via que eEgipte hauria de triar per a ser reconegut en aquest eMón, proAsteria o proSirius?

És difícil de dir. Tinc amics en les dues aliances, però crec que tots hauriem d’anar amb la meva idea de nou Imperi Romà. Seria molt més divertit. 🙂
