Interview with the Belgian MoFA

Day 1,790, 11:39 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by James Scarlet

Dear Citizens,

I recently had the honor and oppurtunitity to interview Belgium's Foreign Mnister. I was able to take part in this event because of Kravenn's new Ambassador Program!
My Interview with Lily Jayne Summers, MoFA of eBelgium:

JS:
How would you say Belgium is doing? Is your population growing? Are there any major problems or conflicts with another country? Is your economy thriving?

LJS:
1) Belgium is doing not to bad. We recently joined CoT today as full members, so we've seen significant progress in Foreign Affairs and in general. Although activity is still a bit dead in general, as the UK can imagine.

2) Our population is the same as all other countries. Eventually decreasing as people are alienated by the greed of others.

3) No, I wouldn't say so. We are a full member of CoT, so we stick together on our enemies, but Belgium personally has no major issues with anyone else.

4) No, no, far from it. We're in a deficit, which has slightly improved through tax cuts we implied last month but the economy seems dead. Unfortunately Plato calls the shots on the economy now...

JS:
You have fairly good relations with your neighbors, but I noticed that several laws were proposed recently that would make the UK Belgium's Natural Enemy. How do you and the general population view the United Kingdom?

LJS:
Well, firstly we apologise for the NE proposal. The MoFA department did not authorise it and we messaged congress members to reject it. On the issue of how we view the UK, I believe that we do have a respect for your country. We helped you when you were having to deal with being occupied and therefore the Irish declared war on us. For someone who is British in real life, I know that we can work together on many issues, even if we are on the different sides of the alliance. I know we will always help each other when we are in need of support.

JS:
Would you talk a little bit about some of the influential people of Belgium, including your self.

LJS:
There's quite a few influential people in Belgium. I'm not one of those people. You have the fantastic NLSP, who is our current President, you also have Requiem Domine, who is fantastic at Forign Affairs and who is current Deputy CP, you also have SX20 who's done a great job with the finances and is our current MoF. MCKitKat who is the other MoFA has also done a great job so far. Nohjis who currently isn't in the cabinet right now, did a fantastic job as CP last term and various MoF terms before that. But then you have certain people who are not currently in Belgium (For military purposes or other reasons) right now, who have a fantastic contribution (Like Iain Keers/Jamesw to the UK) who include MaryamQ, Mittekemuis, ThomasRed and tecuvo. There is simply too many people who have done fantastic and tremendous things for Belgium who simply do not get enough credit for it.

JS:
It's been great talking to you and I hope Kravenn will let us work together again. Thanks for the interview!
