Interview With RFA Party Presidential Candidate Alex Hylton

Day 631, 07:10 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Graham Fortune

New Democracy) What drove you to enter politics and, ultimately, to run for Congress?

Alex Hylton) Altmer probably drove me into politics. I wanted to two-click, maybe run a business, support a totalitarian party. (in the early days I was quite radical, but now I look down upon needless imperialism)

Altmer Vampire, famed on the forums, helped me onto the RFA forums, showed me what a spectacular party it was, with great people. I've made so many friends there. I decided I wanted to make a big difference on eRep, become one of the more famous players, like Mr.Woldy or Kumnaa. One day anyway. Political ambition. I'm not going to lie and say it's not there.

New Democracy) You are currently running for the RFA Party Presidency. How do you see the growth of the party panning out in the future, what benefits does joining have for new citizens, and why do you feel that you are the best person to take the party forward?

Alex Hylton) We have a new members ambassador, who looks after all new members of the RFA. They're there to support them, feed them if necerssary, help them onto the forums get them involved in the game.

I'm running for party president. The future looks positive, and there is room for us to overtake the PCP in a a month - 6 weeks. We've sped up our growth quite rapidly as of late.

Watch this space.

New Democracy) Your election manifesto appears to suggest that the RFA requires a makeover, so that it becomes more exciting and fun. Why do you believe this to be the case, and what do you specifically plan to do in this regard?

Alex Hylton) It's not my only policy. The RFA manifesto suggests we're a party that aims to add fun to the eUK. That this party is all about accepting all views. This is not so. Lately, it has become the Radical FLAMUR Party, rather than Radical FREETHINKER Party. What Flamur says goes. To me, that's not party democracy. This needs to change.

New Democracy) During your time in Congress, you have gained a somewhat controversial reputation, particularly in relation to oil import tax rises and immigration. What would you say to allay the fears of those who may prefer a "safer" choice?

Alex Hylton) Controversiality is a trait, not a flaw. Flamur, my opponent, Mr.Safe, is ignoring what the RFA could be doing. Immigration, was a false allegation by malta_1990. He assumed my American friend was a spy, purely because she was American. I later proved she is not a spy.

New Democracy) What is your stance on the King Food issue?

Alex Hylton) Economics isn't my field. If I ever was to go up for a ministerial position, it would be for Home Affairs, or Foreign Affairs.

New Democracy) What is your take on the eUK's current military engagements, and how do you see things turning out in this regard?

Alex Hylton) I can see no wrong in the current military stance. Providing the eUK gains some nice land with lots of resources, i'm go, go, go!

New Democracy) What are the best qualities, in your opinion, of a Party President, and how do they affect the political landscape?

Alex Hylton) Representative. If you're the PP of the evil puppy killing racist party, you better be evil, racist and kill puppys. It's political fraud to not represent your party in my opinion.

Inspiration is important. There is nothing like a good speech.

I'd like to add this :

Flamur is a great guy. He's done, just about everything. But I think that, well there a couple of areas that are sliding. We need a solid, new leader. To lead the RFA to a term of success and growth. I'd love to see us break into the top 3 parties, prove it CAN be done. To reach a record 6 RFA congressmen in my term would be great.
