Day 1,139, 19:14 Published in India USA by India101

The hindustani times got to interview pheenic a citizen that will be up for presidental election. Here is the interview:

1. What is your poltical party?

"My political party is Democratic Party of India (DPI)."

2. What is your main focus throughout your term?

"My main focus will be to have a recruitment team message all the new players that join the game in eRepublik. Instead of aiming for the homerun (Babyboom), I feel that we should aim to keep the few citizens that join us everyday. We get about 9-10 new citizens. If we can keep them in the game with friendly, warm messages that are simple and give them initiative to stay in the game, then I'm sure we can raise the active population by a ton. My other goal will be to improve relations with our neighbors. Due to bad choices in the past, most of eRepublik has a bad image of us. We need to fix that."

3. If you had to choose one area that you will most focus on on your agenda what would it be? military, foreign affairs, internal affairs, economy, or population growth

"I'd focus on Foreign Affairs most. Although everything stated in your question is extremely important, there's no "all of the above" option, so I'd choose Foreign Affairs, because where at a stage where we need friends. We need allies who will help us out. Take a look at China. They're helping us out in our current war. That's an ally you want to have. Becoming friends with country's like that are the way to go."

4. Which historical leader would you consider your role-model for shaping india today?

"I don't know if you mean Real-life or eRepublik historical leader. In that case, I'll give you both.

Real-life: Napoleon Bonaparte, because although the ending of his story wasn't exactly good, he managed to take a country that was going through a violent civil-war, and turn them into a powerful country that ruled most of the world.

eRepublik: Although there's a lot of great leaders in eRepublik, I'd have to say Emerick, because he took the USA, which was down to one region, Florida, and was being attacked by multiple country's, and fought them all off. He somehow managed to conquer back all 50 of the states they lost (D.C. is a state in eRepublik), and even managed to conquer some enemy regions too."

5. How active are you currently? choose from the following- everyday, every week, every month, or every hour

"Everyday"

6. If there is one thing you can change about the current Indian government what would it be?

"I'd change the way we deal Foreign Affairs. We have a tendency to say we're neutral, and then go against it. For example, we let Serbia through us a few months ago. You know what happened because of that? Thailand was PTO'ed, Malaysia was attacked, China was endangered, and basically, we messed things up for Asia, although we claimed to be neutral. So, if there was one thing I could change, it would be the fact that we say one thing and go against it completely.
"

7. What do you think plays a major role in economic growth?

"Here in eRepublik, wars and alliances play a huge part in economic growth. Let me put this in a scenario. Pretend Country A joins Alliance A. Alliance A is enemies with Alliance B. Because Country A joins Alliance A, Alliance Be now is enemies with Country A. Alliance B attacks Country A. That automatically jump-starts the weapons industry in Country A. Also, Alliance A starts sending troops to Country A to help them out. That means more consumers for Country A. Country A's economy immediately starts to do better, because more troops means more consumers, and more consumers means economic growth.

Population also plays a huge part. If you manage to raise the level of active citizens, that'll mean more new citizens. More new citizens means more food being bought. More food being bought means more money for the food industry. More money for them means less money for the new citizens. Less money for them means more new citizens wanting jobs. More new citizens wanting jobs means companies are attracted to the country where this is taking place. Companies being started in the country means higher salaries as companies start competing for employees. Companies competing for employees means more citizens moving to the country. Then, the process starts all over.

I apologize for my long answer for 7. I'm sorry if it confused anyone. Basically, wars, alliances, and population play a major role in economic growth."
