Join the new world

On day 1,754 I interviewed the current Minister of Defense, Elsamba, about the warfare against ABC, which is raging in the Baltic and Nordic countries for the moment, enjoy the interview!



Journalist: First of all, congratulations with 'boss', Wolf Heinrich von Helldorf, who won the CP three days ago, with 71% votes, overwhelming!

[Q1]What is your thoughts about the current military situation? Have Asgard underestimated ABC, or Vice Versa?

Elsamba: Well first of all Finland have fought a war with Estonia for a while, so we decided that it was time to join the war and help our Asgard brothers Finland. We knew that we would get NE:d by Latvia and Lithuania as soon as we NE:d Latvia and loose some MPPs.

Currently Latvia and Lithuania are on our cores i hope and believe that we can turn this around.

No i believe we did not underestimate ABC, we knew that it would be a tough war. ABC has gotten a lot of support from other ex-ONE countries. Personally I would like this war to not be a ex-ONE vs TEDEN war, we have enough of those wars already, its way more fun if it’s a local alliance war like Asgard vs ABC.

I don’t think small countries like Sweden should just stay at home and have peace, I believe that wars are good for activity and keeping players in eSweden. Of course Sweden should not have wars with a country that is 10x larger, i think that Asgard and ABC is a pretty close matchup if you don’t count up other MPPs and so on.

Maybe this can be an important part in a potential victory?

Elsamba: Yes that NE vote is very good for Asgard, all the help we can get is good especially if its a NE vote 😉 .

It is always good to have many fronts in a war and now Germark will try to start one.

We have good relations with Germark, we lost Berlin but it was not Germark that started the rws or Germark who fought in the rw😒, rather our enemies. We have "old" deal with Germark, the deal is to rent Germarks regions that we need so of course they dont want to break the deal.


[Q3] – Journalist: As you said in the question 1, war results in more activity, but some also says, that war results in more new citizens to the country, do you think that is right too?

Elsamba: I do think that wars can get new citizens into the country but only if everybody activly tries to get new players into the country by recruting on the internet or maybe IRL.

There is no other fun things to do in erep then fighting in battles. If people would join/stay in the game it would be because of fighting for your country.


[Q4] - Journalist: Do you have something to say about an expansion of Asgard Alliance, so it can end up with a pact with more countries, like Norway, Germany and so on?

Elsamba: Many thought that Norway would be in the Asgard alliance from the start but it did not turn out that way. I would love to have Norway in the alliance and i think there is a good possibility for them to join but of course some people in Norway want to stay in EDEN while some other maybe dont. From what i have heard, Norways president is positive to Asgard so thats good.

Germark in Asgard would also be good but i think Norway is more likely to join right now the alliance if they now want to join. But as said we have good relations with Germark and i hope we can keep this relation or improve it even more if possible.


[Q5] - Journalist: My very last question; What should be Swedens winning move? Some new alliances? Some recruitment? Invite other countries to the alliance? Hire some mercenaries? Or another thing?

Elsamba: It’s hard to tell but recruitment is always good, right now we dont have many players in Division 1 and we need new players into the country that can be active in the community.

I don’t think inviting countries to the alliance would necessary be a winning move but instead try to get more allies or help from allies!
