Hello everyone and welcome to this week's "Weekly Insider" we are planning to do weekly interview with political, military and well known player of The New world, Erepublik.
We are doing this so new comers will have some references to know these iconic Accounts/players and it will encourage them to keep on playing so some day they can be like them, a powerful citizen. at the other hand it will help players to get to know each others better.



Today i am hosting MightAndMagic, one of the best fighters From Division 2, and surely a respectful warrior around the world.
it wasnt needed to ask anyone about him after i did talk to him.
i found him realistic, Honest and respectful. although i disagree with him on some matters, but i respect his opinion.he is warm welcoming guy with mature attitude.
actually this interview took place when he did over damage a bh of mine, i wrote to him and we began to chat.interesting way to start an interview, isnt it? 🙂
About the photo, i asked him to send me a picture of himself but he answered "friend. you can publish it without the pic." well, i do respect this as well 😉



*Hello Might and magic!
First of all i need to tell you that all questions here are about the game, So "here","the game", etc... all are referring the Erepublik aka erep.
all talks are in general and we are not talking about anyone but you.
please introduce yourself to our readers
name, age, Nationality, Job, hobbies etc... and tell us when did u started playing, how did u come to this game?


My name is Erkan. Age is 29. Im from Turkey and I live in Istanbul. Im a mechanical engineer. I started playing erepublik on the date of my accounts birthday. So this is my first and only account. I saw a banner in a website saying that ''Turkey is under attack'' and i was like wtf! Then i realised it was only a virtual world, but it was good enough to move my nationalist feelings 😃

* At the very first days of playing ere, which aspect of the game was most fun and entertaining to you that kept you playing?

- I like team games and when i started erepublik, it was more of a team game than it is now. We were gathering on irc channels more than 100+ people and getting organized. It was fun.I have never interested in politic module because i dont like politicians in real life and game couldn't change my opinion. Same kind of politicians here in erep 😛 I couldn't be interested in economic module either, because working in companies were boosting me exp points which i avoided for years. So only military module left for me. Born as a soldier, live as a soldier 🙂

* does the game still fresh and fun and "alive " to you? does the changes during these years made the game better Or weakened it?
- Fresh? no. Fun? Rarely. Alive? Almost dead.

- Plato wanted to indivudialize the game with many changes he did, however, this should have been a team game, a nation based game. He figured out that indivudializing it bring him more money since his top priority is to win $. So no one can say that the game is better than it was

* if today was the first day of your ere life, would you still playing it ?( considering the difference between today's game and the game back to the day that you started ere)
- If today was my first day, i wouldnt play it for sure. But on second thought, if i was deteremined to play, i would buy an old account (Admins you dont read this part 😛 )

* how do you see the future of this e-World?
- Future isn't bright. There is no option for new players to adapt, and never will be. Also silly politicians who keeps the eWorld unbalanced and crushing one side for years make people leave the game. Who wants to play a game that he/she is destined to lose no matter what he does? I mean, above all, there should be a balance between alliances. You can't just make a babyboom and make your country more powerful, you cant try to regain the balance by trying to add new players to your country. It is too late for these things. Therefore, politicians should take their head into their hands and 'think' what they are doing.
As a result, what do we have about future; no new players, quitting old players, probable fun with balanced wars.

* any suggestion for plato in order to make the game better?
- I remember my old days. I made my first suggestion to erep team in the first week i started to play this game. Then tens of them followed. Many of them didn't even considered, i know that. But some of them are alive. For example the determination point for occupied countries was one of my ideas. I presented it with ''Freedom Fire'' , though 😛
Do I suggest anything to erep team? No, not anymore. They should do the thinking part. I won't do their job. Because no matter what i do, in the end they will chose the profitable one and they will ignore the will of players

* thinking of the first days of your ere life, who was your idol?
- Romper was my idol. He was in almost every important battle, helping his country and when people see him they were hitting more to not let him down.

* can you name the players that helped you the most? is there anyone that you think you owe him for his deeds?
- I dont like getting help. I always try to solve my problems on my own. Yet, i remember a time that i needed help. Me and 3 of my friends were bored of game and we were in the edge of quitting. We decided to try to coup a country and ireland seemed to be available. We were all low division guys so we needed help for division 4. Thats where i made some help calls. My former military unit, ''MAD'' came for help and especially Lilyana(Queen of Philippines) showed great effort. So she has my sword for eternity.

* tell us your best memory Of erepublik, or the best thing that ever happened to you here.
-Well i had many great moments but the one that everyone would remember is creating a monster team combining europeans and south americans for gold rush tournament. We dominated the first place for the whole week. That was a real team job and great coordination. I've enjoyed every moment of that week.

* about wars, which one was the most notable or memorable? have you been part of it?
- For Turks, the most notable wars are the ones made between Turks 😃 Unfortunately we love to fight each other in this game. There was a time where Serbia + Poland + South Africa(being ruled by Turkish players) launched Air strike on Turkey at same time. We ignored Serbia and Poland, focused on South Africa. It was hell of an epic battle. Almost all Turkish players in eWorld was fighting and crushing the fight buttons.

* the day you started ere, what was your goal, did you fulfill it? what is your goal today? what is it that you want the most now?
-When i started erepublik, my goal was to help my country. I believe i have fulfilled my duty. Today my goal is to enjoy the game with friends, if we can 😃

* which country did you find the best? why?
- Serbia is the best country. No one can deny that. They have made their solid strategy and they follow it. Even when they fight internally, they stay strong against other threats and they put nationality first. No one can dare to stop them as long as they keep the puppets with them, which is a part of their strategy.

* talking in general, are our political and military decisions rational or immature? ( i mean did our politicians or military commanders grew up with the game and became more logical or they are yet immature? )
-I think i have answered this question. I cant say that they are immature. Some of them are coward which they call themselves ''protective''. Many of them thinks that many of them are unrelabile lol. I like the rare ones who can make bold moves and change the eWorld for the common good. Those ones seem not to exist in this era

* whats your opinion about e-Iran?
- When the topic is Iran, i can say one phrase : ''Turkey's betrayal'' 😃 Because somehow it all ends up with Turkey's betrayal. This seems to be Iran's only agenda. When iran doesnt fight against Turks, they sleep. You cant see any iranian action. And they wait until Turkey's next betrayal again 😛 I remember that almost 2 years ago, iran were publishing articles in almost every country and they actully made one ''Turkey's betrayal'' article in top 5 internationally.
I think Iran loves Turkey's betrayal. 😛

* Today, what is the most important crisis in e-world?
- The game is old. This is the most important crisis. Old games have old players. Old players have much labor. And in erep, its impossible for new players to fight against old ones. Also its impossible for admins to ignore the labor of old players. So Plato have to choose; keep old players? or gain new playes? He chose keeping old ones.
OK, lets talk about Iran-turkey wars.
talking about iran and its relation with turkey, we all know that after Iran's IRL government decided to block Erepublik.com, Iran became weak and started losing players. after that point the country became peaceful and tried to keep nap with neighborhood Countries. at this point turkey decided To conquer Iran several times.
For a country with less power and less player its the best choice to not to involve in conflict, so its pretty much obvious Iran didn't want to fight with turkey, right? lets hear your side of story, what happened here? what was the cause of these chain wars.
if it wasn't turkey's betrayal, so did Iran attacked turkey?
The first time when Turkey attacked iran (Eldarion was CP of Turkey that time) , it was a chain effect of fail diplomacy for both countries. I was a part of the government before eldar's term. And we actually managed to sign a rental agreement with iran, but hey, ask me about it... Negotiating with iran is the worst days of my life. Tens of hours being wasted on irc channels, just to make Iran happy. We were patient enough, we managed to sign the agreement.
Turks aren't that patient in general, and apparently Eldar's government wasn't. In Eldar's term, they refused to waste that much time on political activity and choose to wage war. Would you call that betrayal? I dont.
I didn't supported eldar's move, i didn't even fight in battles until Iran attacked our original regions. But Iran's behavior shocked me. I had many Iranian friends by the time, they have all changed and started yelling the so called ''betrayal''
Persian calls your ( your e-government ) demands "off the limit" u call it Turkish impatient and "refuse that much time for political activity"
Persian calls "wage of war" betrayal, because it broke your previous agreement.what shocked you exactly?Using media's power?
when u say "I didn't supported eldar's move, i didn't even fight in battles" i think of you as an independent warrior.tell us how do you think it will all end. if its up to you to judge, whom would you blame?
Eldar's government didn't like the agreement that we made, so they wanted to change it. When they couldn't, they have revoked the agreement. Then war began. This is not betrayal.What shocked me is iranians behaviour. We were calling each other ''brothers''.when eldar happened, we told them not to over react that we can solve the rental agreement next term. Frankly if someone is betrayed, it was our brotherhood.
believe both nation needed war, they had it. But the war isnt over and it is out of Turkey's and Iran's hands now. Other nations are involved, promises are given. So i believe there wont be a rental agreement between Turkey and Iran for a quite long time. Maybe they can sign NAP to keep original regions.
Iran has the upper hand with Asteria's power. If only Asteria would have problems, Iran would be in trouble. So I believe Turkey and Iran wars are far away from end. If its up to me to judge, I would say Turkey should choose politicians with strong nerves, and Iran should raise politicians with even a little bit morality. You can't blame one side. If anyone does, that means he is lying too.
About the word "betrayal" Persians feel like they have been betrayed cuz turkey broke nap because they wanted war. So they "betrayed" the law between them and Persians. I know u think it happened because actions from both sides. But for a second see it through Persian's eyes. Now is it betrayal?
Do you think egov of turkey underestimated Iran's power?I mean they expected to occupy Iran without any serious resistance. If it's so.why did they think like this?
NAP means non agression pact. And these pacts has time intervals. Sides who sign it should respect this time interval and shouldnt show any hostility against each other. On the other hand, Turkey and Iran had ''rental agreemant''. Iranians thought that it is an agreement for eternity. No one could broke it etc. But agreements are for both sides to agree on.. If a disagreement occurs, you may change the agreement or you may totaly revoke it. So when i look from persian side, it is still not a betrayal.
There could be one thing that Turkish goverment hasnt foreseen, and that is nader's money invested in buying cc. If you have enough cc, you can even delete mighty Serbia. Iran didnt only have money, but also they gained the favor of Asteria by provoking anti-Turkey propaganda
I see. but i need to inform you, nader did a great deal, ofc, but it was the money of each and every citizen Of e Iran. players Donated from 1$ up to 400-500$. because some foreign Force decided to delete they country.that is what every1 should do, defend his homeland
How do u foresee the future between iran and turkey. is there any way to mend the fences?if there is, tell us your solution OR there will be a fragile nap between them time to time
Im sure there will be NAP time to time. There can even be MPPs. We have seen many things in this game. Brothers to enemies, enemies to brothers.
If we are talking about near future, it is less likely to have a rental agreement again. Because as i said, there are promises given to other countries for both nation. For example, Iran to Bulgaria and Turkey to Georgia. I cant think about a NAP which would please them all. Moreover, trust has lost between two nation. So it will possibly be war in near future.
OK, lets finish this interview, its been really long to read 😛
in a year from now, where do u see yourself, will u be still playing? and where and how do u see your e-country.
will turkey change? they Foreign affairs and politics will change?
will play as long as my friends play. So i believe you will see me here for another 3-5 years if the game exists 😃 As for Turkey, its hard to guess. Political thoughts shift swiftly and it isnt my expertize. But i hope that before foreign affairs, Turkey can solve internal problems and unite once again.

I can give advice to lower div guys. Its important to buy Infantry kit. They should buy at least that one. We need more competitive lower divisions. Also they shouldn't forget that Guerrilla Fight module is still active and useful. Its kinda forgotten after IK has implemented to game.
As I said before; If you want to have fun in this game, demand it. Act for it. Because no one will provide if you don't act.
